I have the Dragon Age: Origins Blood Dragon Armor and saw you can have in Mass Effect 2 as well. I went to the game where you can download content and sure enough it popped up in there. I downloaded it and so forth, however, I do not have it in game. I read somewhere you have to wait until the Illusive Man sends a message for it to show up, however, how long does that take? I don't mind waiting, but would still like to have it to start using it. Thanks for any help

It showed up instantly for me. Have you checked your armor closet? Maybe it didn't install properly?

For all the DLC stuff the message should appear the first time you look at your mail after you have installed it. The only caveat that you have to log in to Cerberus Network to authenticate it the first time you install.

I downloaded it in DA:O and saw it unlock instantly in DA 2. When I signed into ME: 2, I went to the downloadable area where you can see your downloads and it was ready to be downloaded into the game. Did that and it said it was downloaded, but it isn't in my armor locker nor have I gotten an message for it either. So am clueless.....

I got it to work, but it was interesting the run around to do so. I kept downloading through Cerberus Network and it would say it did and check it, but never showed up. So I signed out of the game, went into my downloads on my dashboard and re-downloaded it again while out of the game and then signed back into once more and boom, there it is. I think my xbox is a decepticon anyway as it will randomly do weird stuff and so forth. Perhaps it was not wanting me to have it yet...where is an autobot when I need one?? :|

Glad you figured it out. I had trouble with it also but was over a year ago and could not remember how I fixed it. Probably did same as you

I just started playing xbox ( 1st xbox in March of this year) so I figured I would never get to have this armor as the code date expired. Then I saw on ebay one day someone selling them and it said the code still worked even tho the date said it expired. So a friend got me one and I am just thrilled it actually worked! DA:O, DA2 and ME:2 are by far my favorite games to play as I have played them many times over, so I am thrilled I now have it in all 3 games.

On a personal note, I've used this armor exactly once. I hate any armor that doesn't let you see Shep's face (tend to stick with default N7 with headshot sniper upgrade). See how you go with it.

^^ I also like to see shep's face. After all, what's the point of fussing over his/her appearance at the start and then covering it all up with a stupid outfit? Also, I thought the blood dragon armor made my shep look like a giant, ahem, sex toy!!!! But maybe that's just me!

It really depends on the mission for me on whether I like to have Shep's face or not. If it is one that your going to have lots of interaction with talking to many people, like on Omega at the beginning, then I like her face to show. If it is something like when you board the Collectors ship the first time, then it doesn't matter to much to me. To bad there isn't a hide helmet option like in DA:2....
OMG Sarah, that is way to funny on the sex toy part! I'll never look at her in this armor again without a laugh

@inannaAthanasia, I'm glad you find it amusing
) The toy-like appearance was just something that popped into my head when I first used the blood dragon armor! But maybe that says a lot about me, I don't know!
) They're great, but I don't want to play a video game looking like one!

Yeah its funny as heck. Some armor choices make no sense to me anyway. Not so much with ME so far, but in DA:2 I hate the fact that my male rogue best helmet option was the one with the black bird feathers in the front. WTH?? What kind of male badass rogue runs around in a helmet that looks like something a Grandmother might wear to church?!? Heck, my guy was even gay and living with Anders and I still couldn't bring him to wear it. What are the creators thinking sometimes.......
But back on ME and armor, I think the part that gets me on it is the mesh looking helmet part. It very much has that whole toy tip thing going, lol.

don't poopoo my favourite helmet .. ( not!) ..
i have that armor but never used it. The only one i put on once in a blue moon is the fugly collector armor that gives a 20% health boost . Had it on the DCS just this week and didn't feel any healthier.
So , it's N7 from now on and forever.

The Blood Dragon Armor is good for a Soldier if you want to get extra damage for your Concussive Shot versus barriers, but around level 26 on Insanity, not even Heavy Concussive Shot + Blood Dragon Armor + Commando can completely strip the barriers off the weakest enemies. This is pure speculation on my part since I do not have the Blood Dragon Armor, but I have the Umbra Visor so I can come close to matching the power damage bonuses of Blood Dragon Armor and can make educated guesses based on some testing.

I really like the Collector's armor for soldiers and vanguards. Health bonus, regen bonus, and storm speed bonus are great. Plus I like to look like a giant, evil bug when playing Renegade. Blood Dragon armor I mostly used for adept, but it is great for engineer also. Although I am happy that ME3 will supposedly give us helmet toggles. I spend enough time on Shep's face that I want to see it.

So out of the blue I created a male Shep and I must say the blood dragon armor looked much better on a female Shep then a male in my opinion. It just seemed to awkward on my male character (not sure why, I can't really say what it was about it, other then it was off). I like it on my Infiltrator. She runs around cloaked and slipping behind enemies and such, so the shield boost helps with stray fire. I do wish I could hide the helmet or change it tho, but other then that I am happy to finally get it
