So what builds are left to demonstrate?

I heard somebody mention a reave soldier, but have not seen any videos of that build - I think that would be interesting because it is like the reave-heavy infiltrator I'm doing now.

As for Reave, that was one of the first bonus powers I tried out on a Soldier way back on my 2nd ever playthrough. I didn't like it getting in the way of ARush, but I saw a video of someone using it with the Revenant on the Object Rho fight which was pretty interesting.
Anyway, this Overlord thing might get uploaded as a demonstration of the sloppiest you can get away with on insanity. Now I only have to figure out how to turn 37GB of video into something that I can upload in less than 1 year.

Interesting. I upgraded to real fraps and was messing around. Did Overlord with my most recent soldier... not a very imaginative build, just a Revenant and Improved Flashbang for a bonus power.

Put it into Windows Movie Maker and render to something like 2 mb/s - works for me.
As for builds, I'm fairly sure everything's been done - which is why I latched unto the shotgun soldier project, and did the shockwave vanguard (which I need to finish - damn you Skyrim!)

Mass Effect 3 will probably come out before I get a chance to try out all the builds I want to try, but here is a quick rundown:
Engineer:
1 - Overload (to detonate pyros)
0 - Incinerate
4 - Drone
4 - Cryo Blast
4 - Improved AI Hacking
4 - Mechanic
4 - Bonus power. Slam for warp bombs, Stasis for crowd control, or Dominate for organic hacking. Geth Shield Boost or Barrier could be decent as well. Flashbang could also work.
I plan to play as the Engineer next using one of these builds. One of the first videos I posted was about testing Slam on an Engineer using this build (poor quality).
Biotic-focused Sentinel:
4 - Throw Field
4 - Heavy Warp
4 - Assault Armor
1 - Overload
0 - Cryo Blast
4 - Guardian
4 - Crippling Slam
This is a fun build I have experimented with. I plan to play this after my Engineer.
Other builds I want to try but will not have time to complete:
Slam-Concussive Shot Soldier:
4 - Adrenaline Rush
4 - Concussive Blast (Heavy CS will not completely strip weak barriers on Insanity after level 21-24)
4 - Squad Disruptor Ammo
1 - Incendiary Ammo
0 - Cryo Ammo
4 - Commando
4 - Crippling Slam
You can reduce two or more of A-Rush, Disruptor Ammo, or Slam if you want Inferno Ammo. One of the first videos I posted was about testing this build (poor quality).
Adept-that-can-Charge Vanguard:
1 - Incendiary Ammo
0 - Cryo Ammo
4 - Heavy Charge
4 - Improved Shockwave
4 - Pull Field
4 - Champion
4 - Heavy Reave
Engineer that can cloak:
1 - Disruptor Ammo
0 - Cryo Ammo
4 - Cloak
4 - Incineration Blast
4 - Improved AI Hacking
4 - Agent
4 - Area Energy Drain
Flashbang Soldier variant:
1 - Adrenaline Rush
0 - Concussive Shot
4 - Squad Incendiary Ammo
4 - Squad Disruptor Ammo
4 - Improved Cryo Ammo
4 - Shock Trooper (for the power duration bonus)
4 - Improved Flashbang
Neural Shockwave Sentinel:
4 - Throw Field
0 - Warp *
4 - Assault Armor
1 - Overload *
0 - Cryo Blast
4 - Guardian
4 - Neural Shockwave
* This leaves 10 points for Warp, or Area Overload + 1-point Warp
I have experimented with this build and it can be pretty fun.

Another shout-out from me for Reave Soldier. Awesome class, it allows you to play aggressive without having to worry about getting killed too fast when you lose your shields. I think I paired it up with Commando from the class power, and I was just a tank.
Claymore is a must!
captain you should do this ^^ i love the claymore anyway

RedCaesar97... those are some interesting ideas. That flashbang soldier variant looks like you are trying to avoid ARush. Would need good flashbang control to keep from being suicidal.
I have a new respect for you guys after just messing around with Overlord... has taken a lot of time just to do this DLC and I didn't really do any fancy editing or anything. I should have probably not tried to turn it into a pseudo-walkthrough...

So inspired by this thread and the claymore soldier thread I tried something I haven't seen before (that doesn't say much) and it was a blast. Aggressive Sniper Soldier with Flashbang on Freedom's Progress (had to look the name up in the wiki, that's how bad I am with names).

Mi-Chan had the idea to open a thread with uncommon builds and to animate others to contribute, seems it either wasn't necessary or you beat him to it... I don't know which one it is
edit: Well I ran out of ammo during the first drone encounter, so it's not all sniper action

The Thane build looks interesting, but wouldn't a Warp-Throw adept fit more power-wise?

Got sidetracked by school and Skyrim, my bad.

So if it is Reave-Shotgun does that mean Eviscerator would be ok or does everyone want to see Claymore? Sigh I suppose I have done Revenant to death and I did Widow already too. Guess I should just do it.
Speaking of upload tips, 3 of my Overlord videos have been flagged as containing 3rd party content, but it says they will still be available. Does this happen to you guys commonly? It has the in game music, I didn't add any soundtracks.

I get that a lot. It likely has to do with recognizing the in-game music as being third-party content, but since that music is allowed to be used in videos worldwide, the video is not blocked. Occassionally that may mean that ads will be posted with the video. No big deal.capn233 wrote...

Ah well, it is weird because the music is consistant throughout, but the sections with Vulcan are not getting flagged.
Wish my upload speed was decent, and that I didn't catch a glitch in the first video after I already uploaded it, ha.
Oh well... I will need to trim out the fat if I actually do a real "character guide" and maybe switch to a codec with better compression than wmv. I used Vdub and H264 for one dialogue scene, but vdub isn't as idiot friendly as windows movie maker is for adding effects. Actually I didn't compress that all that well because for the 4 min it was 100MB.

Did up through Mordin's mission (my first stop after getting the Normandy). I imported a Lvl 60 ME1 character, so by the time I did Mordin's mission I had a few points already.
Since it is supposed to be a reave build here is what I did...
Adrenaline Rush 1
Disruptor Ammo 1
Combat Mastery 2
Area Reave 4
Tried to run and gun with the Evi a bit. It works out ok... still need to get the hang of it. In retrospect maybe I should have just went and recorded it because it mostly worked out.
