You have to choose between saving the VS or Liara. Choosing one will cause the other to die. There are no alternative. Who would you choose.

Liara, hands down. Ashley I don't like at all, Kaidan is ok but Liara for sure.

I should have mentioned give some reasons for your choice atleast.

Liara, even if I romanced Ashley. She saved Shepard's body from the collectors and that would like returning the favour.

I'm a good bit closer to either VS than I am Liara, but, if I find myself needing to save Ash/Kaidan a third time (or pretty much fourth in Ashley's case) then I'll probably figure that it's best to leave them behind for having/being such terrible luck.

Between Kaidan and Liara, I'd choose Kaidan most of the time. Between Ashley and Liara, the choice is harder.

Hope this turns -NOT- into flame war.

If I could I'd save both. Since this is no option my Shepards will (most likely) always go after the VS (Ashley). And not because I dislike Liara, no. I simply like Ashley far more ...

Liara, i think she's got a lot more imprtant story.

Warning : spoiler : (don't know how to make a spoiler T.T)
She's got a bit dark past with her mother's betrayal and yet she's still a bit naive in ME1. In ME2 she has become much different and dark but this is only a mask. Moreover, she's involved in the shadow broker fall. In fact she's a characters that evolves with sheppard intervention and in sheppard's quests. She's bound to him/her much more than all other characters (my opinion).

yeah Liara - her story is far more integral to the overall plot - besides, despite her motormouth, I like her, though her character transform from ingenue into the SB was a bit abrupt.

If people stop mentioning the fact that this is based on spoilers, then we should be fine; because those who don't know its a spoiler obviously will have no idea, and we can just answer the damn question. That being the case;

Seeing as I always sacrifice our token "Racist," to Virmire, and I really love Kaidan and Liara, this question still sucks. In the end though, Liara as too much to offer.

Sorry Kaidan, but a cutie with the power to start a war with the push of a button is top priority.
