No you don't. At the AA tower he is holding you over the edge. At the bomb he is holding you up over a puddle of water.

VS every time. If I had to chose betwen any of my crew and liara, Liara will die every time what bioware has done with her char development really put her in creepy stalker zone for me.

^I thinks the problem is that Bioware are trying too hard make Liara tied to the main plot, A archoligist with no experience as an infomation broker becomes the shadow broker in less than three year's is really streaching it, six or seven year's would have been more convincing

To answer OP: depends on which Shpeard i'm playing

You're also able to play a biotic who spikes higher on the L3's than Kaidan does on the L2's and probably had his wiring done past puberty.

I mean -- it's, you know, not always the most realistic. Even within its own rules.

Eh some L3's are capable of spiking very high though. It's not just Shepard. Implants being put in late (or at least past puberty) isn't restricted to just Shep either Miranda also seems to share this.

That said no it's not overly realistic most of ME isn't realistic to me. I just don't see it as convincing even within the setting.

Depends on the context.

For example; I saved Ashley on my current canon because of where she was at. The AA guns, I felt they were more important to secure than the bomb. However Kaidan pragmatically is a more important resource and I would probably save him on an equal field of judgment.

(also a tiny bit of metagaming)
The AA scene looks badass with Saren holding you over the edge. I'd be lieing to say that didn't play a minimal role.

Not to mention if the one you don't save was left with the bomb, they get a "last stand" scene shooting geth with a pistol just before the nuke goes off.

 Depends on my character:

Canon FemShep Vanguard- Definitely Kaidan. Liara was useful but because my Shep tends to be a bit emotional, she once had a romance with Kaidan. Although all was left on Horizon, she probably will return to those memories. Plus I think for a canon run the less wise choice may prove to be more interesting and make for good drama.

Others:

ManShep Infiltrator- Ashley. She once was a flame for him and he really doesn't like aliens. So Liara sadly bites it.

ManShep Engineer- That's a hard one. He's not involved with neither Kaidan or Liara and doesn't plan to be with either (Jack is the love of his life). I'd probably go with Liara since she's been a better friend than Kaidan has ever been and at least made the initiative to help him out on his mission.

FemShep Sentinel- Liara all the way. Sorry Ash, but this one's a true blue Liara lover. They plan to be married with little blue children and I'm not having it any other way.

ManShep Soldier- Likely Liara. Though he's see-sawing between her and Tali, ultimately he's got a soft spot for Liara because of the past. Plus she bothered to help. Unlike Kaidan.

ManShep Vanguard- Ashley since he's loyal to her since ME1. Liara's been nice but she's gotta bite it this time around.

FemShep Adept- Kaidan gets saved since she's loyal to him...and she hates aliens (and made Kaidan hate them too). It'll be pure joy for both of them to be rid of the little blue stalker.

ManShep Sentinel- Hard to say. He actually didn't consumate a romance with Liara (rejected her in Ilos in ME1) but ME2 flagged a romance with her. So...to hurt her feelings he 'cheated' on her (more like rubbed it in her face to make her stop stalking him) with Jack (a confrontation between them would be gold)...'dumped' her in LotSB...and just to really make her bite it he's going to pick Kaidan over her even though he didn't do anything for him. Yes that's my protest against Bioware's establishing canon relationships with characters and blue stalkers.

So I'll say of my eight (so far) Shepards it's pretty even =]
