Strongest squad member?

I was thinking the other day. If all the squad members from ME1 and 2 had a showdown - kinda like Tekken - who would actually be the strongest? (Shepard is not included)
Who would be the standing champion?

2.Samara: Is a justicar equalled Nhilus
3.Liara:
Equalled an Asari Specter, took out hords of merc and fought harbinger to bring back Shepards body. Tore the interior of a Shadow Broker base just from being angry and releasing pure biotic rage aura.

At least when it comes to dealing damage / receiveing damage without dying.

Wrex, IMO.
Next up, Zaeed.
Zaeed had a tendency to die quite often in my playthroughs, but yeah, he's pretty much badass. I'd put him on my list, next to Ash.

Depends on the battlefild layout and "luck".
The strongest in an upfron confrontation is probably Wrex, Grunt, Samara and Jack. Depending on the circumstances and luck, one of these would win. Basically the one who gets the upper hand with a lucky hard hit first.
All highly trained killers, Grunt is the strongest in physical terms, but he lacks biotics, so while I would concider him the weakest card, I would not count him out due to his insane endurance. Wrex is probably not that far behind Grunt in terms of physical abilities, but he is also a biotic with immence combat experience. Jack is a very powerful biotic and very unpredictable. Samara is also very powerful biotic and highly skilled in physical combat.
Miranda has a good chance if the battlefild allows her to use her brains and advanced tactical understanding.
If the battlefild allows for hiding and stealth Thane and Kasumi are alsio contenders.

Easily the best squadmate from ME2. And ME1's combat was too broken to really differentiate who was awesome and who wasn't.

But the fact is, there is no most poweful squadmates that would win against anyone or would win everytime if they fought multiple times. Regarding some squadmates we are talking about the highest level of individual skills in the Mass Effect universe. A fight between them could have very different outcomes depending on the most trivial things.
.
Therefore, the best answer I can give to this topic is, if I had to sent someone to a very difficult mission, I would send Miranda.

PFFFTHAHAHAHA. Yes, yes, the last-one-standing of the Squaddie Free-For-All is the young, mediocre-biotic human in the catsuit. Notice how she's identical to Jacob in description? EDIT: Oh, and for anybody about to start foaming at the mouth about "mediocre-biotic", let me remind you that she has the exact same reaction to trying to hold a biotic bubble as Jacob or Thane. "Advanced", suuure.
WREX. A millenium of heavily-armoured, battle-scarred, shotgun-toting Krogan Battlemaster. And a bit of biotics on the side, too.

From a story point of view, at close range Jack or Samara could rip any non-biotic squadmate to pieces in seconds, and even the other biotics wouldn't stand much chance.
At long range I imagine Legion is best - as a machine, he will always be more accurate than Thane, Garrus or Zaeed could ever be. He can wait, perfectly still, for perhaps days on end, and can survive in any atmosphere. And at long range, tech powers would be useless against him.
In a gun fight, take your pick between Wrex, Garrus or Zaeed. Each has vast amounts of experience, endurance and skill.

That's mainly why I think she'd win, Trololo. It absorbs damage, reflects damage, AND stuns opponents!

1. He's Biotic.
2. He's a Krogan, which means he regenerates health faster than everyone else, except maytbe for Grunt since he's "pure". Being a Krogan also means he's stronger, faster than most, and when the bloodrage kicks in, if it kicks in, he will be even stronger and faster for a time. He is more resilient as well.
3. He is several houndred years old, which means he has A LOT of experience. And he beats the crap out of Asari commandos. (Remember his story about that commando he fought on that space station, which possibly could be Aria, which I hope since that would be a cool thing to get to know in ME3)
4. ......
5. PROFIT!

Miranda/Kaidan would be "the Mario" aka the Mishimas/Lei Wulong
Jack/Mordin would be the combo "death dealers" aka the Law Brothers/Eddie Gordo
Grunt/Wrex would be the slow "bruisers" aka Paul

Define "strongest". Do you mean "physically strongest" (can lift most weights etc?) then I would say Wrex. Do you mean "strongest endurance" (takes most punishment and continues) I woudl say Legion. Do you mean "stongest most overall power" (overall most destructive) I would say Samara.
