Wrex is 1500 years old.

Wrex's age has never once been stated in the games (and I'm pretty sure not in any other official source either).  He's got to be less than 1500 though because he was born after the Krogan Rebellions.  This article, written by Drew Karpyshyn, implies that he's far younger than that: he left Tuchanka after his betrayal by his father, and that was about 300 years before ME1, and when he was still on Tuchanka, he was one of the youngest ever tribal leaders (as a guess, I'd say that what krogan consider young for that job would be only a couple centuries or so). We also know, from Wrex himself, that his tenure as a leader was a fairly short one.

Top 5 with reasons.

5. Liara: Pros: powerful biotic, nearly limitless resources. Cons: Low armor, less than 5 years of combat experience, virtually no tech or physical combat skills.
4. Leigon: Pros: a lot of tech skills, sharp-shooting prowess, geth shielding, light speed thought. Cons: very little experience (even less than Liara), no biotics, big hole in chest.
3. Samara: Pros: powerful biotic, centuries of experience, decent survive-ability, ruthlessness. Cons: virtually no combat or tech skills, no external resources.
2. Thane: Pros: decent biotics, sharp-shooting prowess, well honed reflexes, perfected strategies to kill humans, asari, and krogan. Cons: No tech skills, mid range trap.
1. Wrex: Pros: krogan regeneration, massive armor, centuries of combat experience, decent biotics, charging ability, great strategic mind, leader of the krogan. Cons: No tech skills.

In opinion going by hype and feats Liara is stronger than Jack. Weaker than Samara and Wrex.

Samara and Jack are obviously the best biotics. Liara would be a close second in that category. In terms of physical strength I give it to Wrex because he's f***ing Wrex. For doing stupid ass rambo ****? Garrus, hands down. He literally destroyed like ten mercenary organizations on his own after his team got betrayed. And a balls-out fight between all of them would probably leave no one standing, because the two strongest would kill everyone else and then just probably kill each other too.

Liara has better on panel feats. And hype than Jack.

All Jack did was beat three heavy mechs.

Liara tore a base apart.

Oh! Garrus and Kasumi also has some impressive feats with gunships.

Kasumi going all space ninja on Donovan Hock gunship. Bullet timing and point blank overloading its shield.

Garrus took out a Gunship with one bullet.

We never seem to get an exact amount of years that he has been working as a merc. When you first ask him he would say long enough. He also may say something like a few centuries? I'll be honest not totally sure since it has been a while since I played ME1.

Although when talking to Wrex he speaks as if he actually fought during the rebellions or at least was born soon after. Possibly the main reason why he became a battlemaster so quickly since he may have performed some sort of heroic act during the war.  Plus Wrex was the youngest battlemaster but I doubt he was an actual leader of a Krogan clan that quickly. It was never said Battlemasters were always the leader of a Krogan clan but they were highly respected. He may have been a few centuries old when becoming a battlemaster but that doesn't mean he was only a few centuries old when he became leader of a clan. He may have served under a warlord before he became a clan leader.

I forgot where I got the 1500 year quote from. Possibly due to my assumption he fought during the rebellions. It was never actually made clear in the game.

Even if he isn't 1500 years old I'd say he should still be older than Samara who was stated to be like 700 or so years old on the ME2 site. Wrex could be older or about a 1,000 years old.

We did in the article by Karpyshyn I just linked you to:

Over the past three centuries he has served no master but himself, working as a bodyguard, mercenary, soldier of fortune and bounty hunter; there is little in the galaxy that can still surprise him.

Hence why I said "about three hundred years before ME1".

Plus Wrex was the youngest battlemaster but I doubt he was an actual leader of a Krogan clan that quickly.

Again, read the Karpyshyn article I linked:

Born into clan Urdnot, he quickly gained fame for his prowess in battle. He became a leader of one of the smaller Urdnot tribes while still a youth: the youngest Krogan to be granted the honor in 1000 years… until he was betrayed by his own people.

Not the entire clan: just a portion of it.

You know Jack is just the strongest (known) human biotic right (and Gillian Grayson is likely her equal, at least)?  Not "strongest biotic EVAR!"

Even then I doubt Liara is stronger than Jack. Liara although likely simply has better control over her abilities plus she should have had much much longer to train with her abilities.

No, no, no Chris you've got it all wrong....Thane beats Mordin for the smelliest and Jack is probably more destructive than Samara. You can't be messing things up like that....

Nope, I stand by my claims. While Jack is arguably as powerful as Samara, Samara has had much more/longer time to harness and practice their power. It is not enough to be as powerful as an explosion, it is knowing how to channel the power. Thats why Samara edges out Jack.

And as for Thane vs Mordin, that is lizards vs. amphibians. Lizards have no smell, while toads do. Mordin wins. :P

who would win in a fight though? What's say, Wrex' physical strength mean to Thane's krogan necksnap technique?

Storywise (especially if you believed the cutscenes) Jack and Samara would be the strongest. In actual gameplay Liara fully skilled and armored up smokes all.

I mostly agree with this order (for the record, I reckon Samara would beat Thane, but thats only my opinion).

However, I would add that legion has the collective experience of the entire Geth. They share their experience when uploaded, and Legion has only been away from the network for a couple of years - thats hundreds of years of collective experience, and a fair few of those were spent fighting the Quarians. Legion itself probably has very little extra experience, so I get what you're saying, but it would have the combat experience of every Geth that ever returned to one of the main hubs in Geth space.

I'm going to invest my interwebz into Jack. I mean her neural degeneration is actually causing her biotics to be strengthened, so that's cool.

Well, she destroyed many YMIR mechs bare handed, I don't think I saw another biotic doing something like that for the moment.
