I still don't understand why there was a NEED for Ashley to be redesigned with 'more sex appeal' (as the art book states that's what they were going for) in the first place. She wasn't that kind of soldier.

I see. I guess you and this fictional character are best pals, she calls you at home and you know what she likes and doesn't like.

The tighter suit is optional, you can dress her up in her Spectre armor if you like.

It is appealing to the lowest common denominator but I can't say I blame them. Kids are getting dumber and they have to turn a buck.

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with the change. As a guy whose thing isn't even girls, I think it's an appropiate change. I'm saying that they had to add sex appeal. For a multatude of reasons one of which being that there is a greater market for the Straight Male Gamer.

Sick of everything in entertainment being sexed up, sexed over, and blatantly sexualized. 

Can't a female character in a video game just be a competent protagonist, without also being made up as a sex object?

personally I prefer the ME1 white and red armor look for Ash. I wonder if that will be optional.
