If your armor is proof against another man's weapon, and he has no protection against your weapon, you overwhelm him.

An interesting counter. I'll try to remember to come back to you later.

She's ALL about sex-appeal, and she would be in the industry she's in.
Are you sure you understand why I posted that pic?
Nobody understands your point. From what I understand, what you are attempting to say is that dress = Oscar event: a flashy, sexy, sexed up attire to make men sweat. You feel that femShep's dress does this, because its an inch or two above her knees, and exposes the very top of her breasts.
So as I said, you're not really bothering to deal with my position for what it is, and are instead responding to some caricature.
As for the "oscars dress"... it was claimed that the black-whatever-dress was not low-cut. I stated that if couldn't be much more low cut without being one of those red-carpet dresses that has to be glued or taped on. Someone said that red-carpet dresses are usually more modest than the black-whatever-dress. I posted the pick of Lopez's infamous dress as a reference to the sort of red-carpet dress I was refering to. Then, someone, some of you somehow took that to mean that I was saying the black-whatever-dress was the same as Lopez's dress, because you're too damn lazy and too damn concerned with making cheap digs on other posters to bother with what they're actually saying.
Nobody else thinks this.
Irrelevent.

Okay, so people get angry because they let her hair down and switched her pink & white armor to blue? First it was "She needs heavy armor!" Now it's this. Come on, folks. I think that between the hair and the cool new armor, she looks beautiful.
I thought the Pheonix armor looked bad.
That doesn't mean I think she needs a fashion makeover for ME3.

Missing the point, ODST. The point is that the black-whatever-dress couldn't be much lower cut without getting in that sort of territory where bits fall out without glue or double-sided tape.
The reason the black-whatever-dress is relevent is because it's a reflection of the gratuitous sexualization of the characters in the ME setting over time,
Animation is what made the skirt so short - not some "sexualization of characters".
Why should we believe that, given how the rest of ME2's getups compare with ME's, and the way things work in the entertainment industry?

Yeah but it most likely won't be the same design. Ashley's armor is not feminized version of Kaidan's blue armor, so I expect Kaidan's officer suit for Earth to be blue and shiny like Ashley's but still visibly different.AdmiralCheez wrote...

Sums it all up rather nicely. It even has Mass Effect in it.
Hey I remember that guy commenting in the kotaku blog article (or was it destructoid? Gonna stick with kotaku) and he made a very brief summary of this article he made.
Although for the sake of accuracy, that night elf armor pic at the top of the page was not made by blizzard.

Now this is just great ! I've avoided the bsn since the demo leak to prevent any spoilers and the day i come back on an innocent picture thread bam i'm spoiled by a bioware member ! Ashley is a spectre...that's something i would have liked to discover ingame ! Some didn't read your script bioware people, maybe you should remember that next time !
The VS being a spectre was known long before the leak mate. Bioware has NEVER talked about any feature from the leak.

Ash being a Spectre is not a spoiler form the script, it was pretty much known fact for months.MisterGibson06 wrote...

Wait a minute guys, wait a minute...... I thought her armor appearance was supposed to have her hair pulled back ME1 style. Not that it really matters, and I'm not complaining, just remember them saying that. Did anyone mention that in this thread? Just something I recently took notice of.

Maybe you can change between hairstyles as well as armor? That would be preaty neat.

I didn't think she needed one either. But with a single, glaring exception, I'm fine with it.
Generally speaking, I have no problem with the hair. I have come to understand that with ME2, the Mass Effect franchise has left whatever nodding aquaintance with verisimilitude in a shallow grave. Bigger and better (and sexier) is the order of the day. So of course Ash's old look won't cut it anymore.
But fortunately, her hair actually looks good down. As long as it can be kept out of her face in combat, I can appreciate the art behind it, if not the logic.
Her new armor is as good as it can possibly be, given the new "appearance is everything" philosophy. I mean, it closely resembles femShep's armor, which is really the standard behind which female armor is compared in Mass Effect. If it makes Ash look like she got some "augmentations" that Adam Jensen certainly lacks, well, it could have been much, much worse ::coughSamara::cough::
And considering I strongly suspect Ash was originally not going to receive this armor in the first place, it's a frakking miracle she has armor at all, rather than that blue monstrosity of a uniform.
She looks good and she has a good-looking, complete (assuming it has a real helmet) suit of armor. All things considered, she got off lucky and we should all be breating a sigh of relief.
Well, except for the uniform. That still needs to die in a fire.
