The all-human squad just won't be the same with Vega. :crying:

Constantly, not a day goes by my Shepard doesn't wish Kaidan was still on the team. The reuinion for the old Normandy crew just won't be the same without him. You'll always be missed Kaidan.

Then again, I heard rumors that he may have had eyes on my Ashley... and if that was true he had to go.

He probably did. I think Ashley likes Kaidan when you're not trying to romance her.

I liked them both and wished I could save them both on Virmire.
Even if I had to sacrifice Kirrahe and his squad.

They both were part of my fave squad for a long time ... I miss Kaidan.

Definitely.
I support that theory. Must say the lack of Kaidan in ME3 (in my playthrough) means I don't have to fight for Ash to win her back. Both could have been a couple for that time while Shepard was gone ...

Maybe I write a dialogue about that in either Ashley or Kaidan thread ...

^ I miss Kaidan.
And I miss the banter between Ash and him. I mean, they were really good comrades, friends and ... yeah, guess if my Shep had been with Liara, Ash and Kaidan could have been a fine couple. They fit together.

Too bad I couldn't save both. Seriously, I would give a lot for have 'em back together in ME3, for squad banter, for love triangle (Kaidan / Ash are together then and Shepard tries to win her back) ^^

Oh yes.

Hope that Vega would be worthy replacement, but to have three Alliance marines would be glorious.

I think, before I played the first game, I somehow thought everyone could be saved if you did everything right... so when the time finally came, it was... hard to deal with.

Since then, I would always pick whoever I was going to save and never use the other one, as a means to... block them from my memory. Never makes it much easier, though.

So yes, I would have very much liked to keep both.

Agree with this completely.  The lost alliance marine (who is usually Ash for me; sorry Ash fans) is missed terribly. :crying:  I am really hoping that the banter with James helps to make up for it.  He seems like a great character.  :)

Sorta. I think both are good characters (although I'm much more attached to Kaiden), but I really liked the story twist to having to choose one or the other in the first game. I wouldn't want them to reverse that choice or something.

While I'm glad that Ashley & Kaidan are back, I don't really have them both on my team unless forced to. While on the battlefield, their powers may compliment each other, but when you add Shepard, it throws it off balance. I usually have my squad be Ashley/Tali & Kaidan/Garrus. I'm glad that I can have these team combos again in ME3.

Heh, I tried that too. It actually worked for one or two playthroughs but then I realised how boring the game was for me without Ash in my squad for missions & assignments :( So yea, love em both and I wish we could still be a team in ME3.

Absolutely. They're the best squad ever. It breaks my heart to leave one of them one Virmire. Kaidan is my MainShep's LI and Ash was her best friend. Image IPB I wish I could Virmire Tali or Liara instead.

nope. I liked their banter but beyond Eden Prime all they did was chill on the Normandy until one of them bit the dust on Virmire in all my play throughs. But I always seem to like the alien squadmates better..

Yeah...I do. Alot. I liked having an all-Alliance all-human team when I headed out. There was a nice dynamic between Ash and Kaidan too.

Not particularly, even if they are two of my favorites.

  • "Wait, didn't you just finish that game?"
  • "Yes, but I have to experience ALL the dialogue and characters...and the only way I can do that is playing it again.  Oh darn."
I agree that the banter between them was really fun though.
