... um... yes. Yes they are.The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...

And does no one remember that the "Seeker symbol" everyone is hung on... is actually the Chantry's symbol for Go-er-the Maker??
Essentially, she's just in "Chantry Armor".
no it isn't.
This is the symbol of the Maker:
This is the symbol of the Seekers of Truth:
They both are.
Think of it like the difference between a crucifix and a cross.
And, If you hadn't noticed, the "sun-eye" motif has been plastered all over chantry robes in Origins. There was the big eye with sun-rays on their chest in the Ferelden version... And even on their shoulders too.
So, seeing as how the Cult of the Maker that Andraste was a part of was the Ferelden version (and how the "sun-eye" is absent from the Kirkwall Chantry's robes), the "sun-eye" is most likely just an older symbol.

(And if you bought one of the pendants with that sybol... it's not "Seekers' Pendant"... It's called the "Chantry Pendant.")

So yeah, I think we just kind of jumped to conclusions about Leliana being a Seeker (still though, its easy to assume.)
I was not "surprised" that someone made that assumption. All I'm saying is that it's an assumption. Yes, Cassandra is a Seeker (or, at least, claims to be), but there's nothing that suggests what she's wearing is the "official Seeker uniform"-- you've only seen the one, after all.
So simply be aware that what you're assuming might not actually be the case (which a question like "Why is Leliana a Seeker?" presupposes), and that just because you're incorrect doesn't mean we changed our mind.

I would suggest the possibility that the Seekers do not, in fact, have a uniform.

But the uniform implies that they belong to some sort of group. Otherwise, why the same uniform. Why do they act like a military force? Or at least they seem to have some structure within the group, so you cant say "just coincidence"or do you?David Gaider wrote...

Perhaps since we see Cassandra and company post act 3/ start of the mage-templar schism, that is the new collective chantry apparel? Armor to denote the prevailing winds of war?
Possible, you made a good point.

Perposterous. How dare a secretive investigative organisation not have a uniform. The Coterie Uniform Syndicate will not stand for this nonsense...

"Leliana isn't a Seeker at all. Why would you think she is?"
"If one is assuming that's a Seeker symbol, then sure. She was wearing the armor. Still not a Seeker. :)"
Sounds like they changed their minds at the last minute, honestly.
I think it's possible, since it wouldn't be the first time. Leliana could be killed in Origins, but she's alive in the sequel regardless. Oghren could be killed in Origins, but he's alive in Awakening. Anders and Justice will meet and merge with one another even if Anders was never recruited and Justice was killed at the Dragonbone Wastes. And the Magi boon was turned down even when everyone at the royal ceremony was addressing it as though it was already a given (which includes First Enchanter Irving), especially with the Epilogue addressing that no independent Circle of Orzammar transpires if The Warden asks for the Circle of Ferelden to be given its freedom. I suppose it's the nature of a franchise - changes happen, stories go in different directions.

Seriously, though, whatever Leliana is "supposed" to be in whatever uniform we'll really just have to see. I'm still of the opinion they should have created a whole new character for that role in DA2, but that came down to a case of I can deficate in one hand and wish in the other. I'm still trying to get the stink off my hands.

I thought maybe it was a symbol of the Exalted March, however, isn't the symbol seen in the former qunari compound in Act 3 if you look behind the barricade?

The symbol at the docks is not the supposed "Seeker" symbol with the eye, but the outline of the sun. Which is the Chantry symbol, no?Filament wrote...

I made that assumption when Cassandra stated that they "had one of their own" at Chateu Haine during the MoTA DLC.

That's evil. Dragon Age's Hugo Boss (that would be...Master Wade?) will be very dissapointed that he is not outfitting yet another evil army of evil and...dark...

Hmm, but "one of our own" could simply refer to a fellow agent of the chantry. Not necesarily a seeker.Balitant wrote...

I thought Flemeth had total control of the 1Up shroom harvest. It is the special ingredient in her magically amulets after all, or did Leliana steal one during the fight against Flemeth?
For some reason my brain keeps thinking of that "Two Girls, One-Up" shirt with Princess Peach.

death animations aren't canon.
The only one that can be considered canon is the Ogre one, because that's an instance of gameplay reflecting lore. If you look at the Ogre codex, it says that Ogres should receive heavy wounds to either the heart or the head. The Warden and the companions end up doing both.
