"The armor he wore was like a templar's, but it was charcoal black and emblazoned with a strange image that looked like the Chantry's sunburst but with an eye in the center."
That was the first mention of Seeker armor in the book. In this case specifically the Lord Seeker's armor. His armor and the armor of all Seekers is mentioned several more times throughout the book.
In the future when discussing things you know nothing about don't call someone who does know what he's talking about a liar.
Seekers may have armor with such designs on it, sure. That was never in question. The thing in question is your assertion that only seekers may wear such armor. Where does it say that only seekers may wear such armor?

I haven't told anyone to shut up. And anyone who's read Asunder can attest to the novel clearly stating, in vivid detail, that the armor we see in DA2 is the armor denoting a Seeker.
And unless you can quote the passage in which this statement occurs, you're just blowing hot air.

I never called you a liar. I said you refused to support your claims.
That is not a mention of "Seeker armor." That is a mention of the armor worn by a Seeker. It no more indicates that that is "Seeker armor" than does Cassandra's declaration that she is a Seeker while wearing similar armor.
In the future when engaging in a passtime you know nothing about, don't tell someone who regularly exercises her logic and critical thinking muscles to "take the hint."
Wow. Conversing is a "passtime*" and you use your "critical thinking muscles**"? Sure is pretentious in here.
*That's not a word. What you're looking for is pastime.
**You only have one muscle used for thinking. Unless you're... <gasp>... the man with two brains!

Who care's if she's a Seeker... she's already the right hand of the Divine, either way she's serving under and for the Divine. What's the difference? A suit of armor?
Left hand actually.

Or, better yet, rip one off from the Transformers Universe: "More than meets the eye." There. Complete freedom for the writers to do whatever they want; they can simply point to that slogan or the former one if players/readers ever ask questions.
Sigh. This is the kind of trouble that crops up when you have an RPG game whose outcomes are primarily determined by player choices, and writers who are penning their own stories in the same universe. I've always found that it's much easier to write if your setting is well *before* or well *after* the timeframe in which the player-determined story unfolds.
