But regardless, at least they have a good look. Even the dwarven women aren't too terrible in some cases
Agreed about the dwarven males. They look great. The females, however...not so much. They look like little apes, mostly because their arms are far too long for their bodies. Not sure what happened there, as the proportions are certaintly correct for the males.

What I don't like about the dwarves is that they all speak in an American accent.
Everyone knows that dwarves are supposed to speak with a Scottish accent.

For me, I was disappointed that I couldn't give my lady dwarves a beard. It's just not right

Having dwarves speak with a American accent seems very out of place which dissolves the emersion quite quickly. It just doesn't work.

From what I've heard, you can have a relationship with Alistair if you choose to play as a female, but I've yet to hear about gay relationships with Alistair

Although i hate to admit it, it would be just fair. I'm a long time elf hater and...well=]KirbySkywalker wrote...

Well I remember him talking about something like pillow fights with all the templar trainees back when he was in the Chantry. Given that the Chantry = Christainty in RL it is not a far fetched idea. We all know those Catholic Priests and their love for lil boys after all

I was specifically alluding to some hilarious party banter that inevitably happens between Morrigan and Oghren, if you have them both in the party. I won't spoil it, but 'tis funny when heard for the first time...

Ohren and zev have some good banter too. It starts out with zev saying "Drunk again Oghren?" and ends with Oghren saying "I am keeping an eye on your pants" and whats in the middle is just comedy gold.

Dwarves suffer from their short stocky stature. It's a disadvantage in hand to hand combat. It also provides for a lack of mobility: they're too small to ride horses, and I can't imagine they can get very far on their short legs, considering how heavy they are.
Elves, well, I imagine they'd be too weak to draw a decently powerful bow, so that's a major fail.

1. Arms of DAO dwarves are approximately the length of human arms. Looks weird, but there you go.
2. In The Calling, Utha rides a horse.
Besides, most dwarves live among themselves so they don't exactly "suffer" from their differences from humans if they don't encounter them...

I just bring them down to my level so we can talk out our differences eye to eye.

With Bioware finally giving us dwarves that know of the possibility of shaving, you can actually make kickass looking dwarf tanks.
Though its a bit irritating my own character is more than ten times more attractive than all other dwarves rotfl.

everything about them. i hate their short fatness. i hate their home which is ALWAYS a city/underground forge with lava flowing through it. i hate their beards. i hate their caves which you are forced to quest through in every rpg that has dwarves.
i am stuck in this game where my next and only option to go is the dwarven area. i want to beat the game but i am dreading spending the hours it is going to take to get through this area.
i am just curious, am i the only one who hates dwarves and grinding through their underground cities and endless tunnels?
i thought of posting this because i was just wishing that orzammar (how cute the name even soundes like ORE-zammar) was DLC so that i didn't have to play through it. but then i started thinking even deeper, what if DAO actually gave me an option to release my hatred for the dwarves? what if i could DESTROY THEM!!! i would love it!!! wouldn't it be great if i could force the dwarves into extinction!!!
oh how levely it would be if instead of entering this dreadded city and interacting with these stout morons, i could send sten, zevran, and my doggy out on a mission to find all possible exits from there city then have morrigan cast a spell to cause a landslide at each exit and lock tham all inside forever!!!
now that would be role playing at its finest!!!
Racist.

This is what I enjoy most about DA:O - no friggin Scottish accents.
And btw, Oghren is the best voice acting in the entire game.
