Just remember, children like Cthulhu who are smugly claiming that there won't be replacements if Tali and Garrus died in ME3 are basing their claims on the leaks.

That thing was confirmed by BioWare long time before the leaks.

[Genuine enquiry]: Could you link the source/provide evidence please?

Ah dang...Garrus avatar. Not putting much hope on this one.

The same leaks that also make no mention of Tali revealing her face (nerd suicide plz!) or getting impregnated by Shepard. And when you bring these things up, they will simply respond with "the leaks are a draft and nothing is final".

Thats objectivity for you, Talimancer style!

Ah, good, I was worried that we might have an entire thread without someone irrationally bashing Tali's fanbase for no reason. Thank you.<_<

And while obviously, the scripts weren't final, they give a good impression of what the story will be like, and we're unlikely to get a major rewrite.

So while no, we don't know for certain that there won't be replacements, and no ME2 squadmates will be permanent, that's the only option we have any evidence for right now, from an actual official script, and anything else is just baseless hope.

I remember seeing that info in one of devs tweets. Thats going take a while to find it.

And what is bad about having Garrus avatar?

...oh because liking Garrus or Tali is bad now. Sorry, I must forgot about this BSN rule.

Didn't you know jcraft? ALL Garrus and especially Tali fans are retarded perverts completely detached from reality, and none of the other fanbases ever have any creepy idiots or perverts obsessing over the other, more grown up to be a fan of characters. It's just a fact. FACT!

Yes, you get to choose between the 7 permanent squad members (less if you fail horribly at the SM).

Garrus, VS, Liara, Tali, Vega= 5?

Who are the last 2?

I personally find it ironic that the some people have such obsessive hate towards certain characters and then proceeds to call other people freaks because they happen like that particular character.

I think there are plenty of temp squad mates right? So for the people who aren't happy you aren't totally left hanging out. [/quote]

Hardly. Squadmate system for ME3 is a joke. Glamourised cameos for all ME2 exclusives, extra special love for others.

Declaring yourself a member of a ridiculed group and proudly celebrating the pathetic elements of it doesn't make you any less pathetic. But its a good try nonetheless, the generalizations especially.

I'm still waiting for that developer tweet. It'll be really interesting to read, I'm sure. If they can allegedly CONFIRM that piece of information and yet declare everything in the leaks as 'unconfirmed', they should become politicians.

If you are given the option (which you weren't in the other 2,) why not just go rambo on everything with no squaddies? Fun times could be had. Done it on DA:O and DAII on parts after first playthrough for a challenge.

It's pretty silly to expect BioWare to give full time for 19 squadmates (if you count the three new ones) and then write the story so it makes sense for all of them to hang around Shepard all the time and to be able to jam their own story in there as well. And let's not forget the amount of power and weapon balancing all the characters would need, as well as all those new outfits with different bonuses.

It'd be ME2 all over again with weak main missions and so-so character missions.

I think they're doing it right this time, by writing the characters around the story instead of vice versa.

True. I always wondered why so many people whining about that [put their favourite character here] is not going to play a some important role in the ME3. Its 19 of them - some characters going to be more important, some less. It is just impossible to give EVERYONE equally important role in one game and satisfy every fan.

Yeah, but those would be missions tailor made to fit Shepard going solo I'm sure, like in Arrival. I'm talking about the option to do missions/assignments that are meant to have two other squaddies with you but alone. It would be sucidal, but crazy mad fun.

The DLC squadmate isn't a surprise. It was obvious.
But the other? I can hardly believe it...
Now I want to play the game to see why he/she/it is in our team.

I know right! I just want to see them in-game. I honestly can't imagine what they'd look like.

I was also hoping their role would remain the same as did in the previous game(s), so I'm interested to see if they still have that role as well as joining us on th battlefield.

Well there has been a lot of talk about the r...b...t. Not the one you think though, I guess we'll all see when March comes round if we are still alive.

But....but Mirandaaa :crying:

Yeah, that was my reaction. Especially since two on the team have the same problem she has (they can die) and one of the new ones is completely superfluous.

They'd better do her justice in her story arc.....

Which is why they shouldn't introduce new squad mates. A continuity of the rapport built through ME2 squad would have given 3 more emotional oomph.

I understand that with 19 squaddies most were going to be cameos of varying importance and I'm okay with that. I just wish it was mixed up a little more and not ME1's squad plus some newbies and no ME2s.

I'm glad that Tali is optional. Absolutely nothing against her but given the spoilers I'd rather just leave her where she is.

What option do we have are you saying we can opt not have garrus and Tali on the squad and can replace them with some else . if so it makes it a little easier to deal with it

You can't replace them, you can simply not recruit them. They go off and do whatever it is they can do to support the war, and you're out two squadmates. You can do the same thing with the VS, *Spoiler* and *Spoiler*.

Edit: Well, to clarifiy, *Spoiler* and *Spoiler* won't be in a great place to help the war effort if you don't recruit them. So you're kind of shooting yourself in the foot if you don't.
