A little bit tame towards the end for Simple Shep standards, but he's just stupid, not crazy  

Another melee goodie: if you hit the melee button twice after leaving cover you can dish out two consecutive attacks.
You just have to do the attacks while the cover leaving animation is still not finished.
I don't know how commonly known that is, so feel free to flame me if you already knew that ...
Or if you think I could have mentioned that earlier, since I know that for a while now

The difficulty here is avoiding to blow yourself up ^^ 

It's not a "No bullet for husks" run, well technically it is, but only if you don't consider an abomination to be a husk and if you ignore the one missed shot in the beginning.

Something new happened! At least I didn't know it before: the "tiny bit improved shield glitch".
First off I didn't alter the game one bit bit, well I turned mouse smoothing off and decreased my mouse sensitivity, that's all.
Since I recorded everything (and was all like "Yes, only one mission left!"), I was able to track down the moment it happened (during the 8th second the shield recharge), but that doesn't explain much.
And I really didn't notice it while playing, I should have been confused because of the lack of dying, bloody screens and the sound of Shep's heart beating, but I wasn't...
"Man this game is easy and I'm awesome" was more what I was thinking about  
A bit pathetic in retrospect.

I tried doing Arrival this weekend and failed a few times during the Project battle.
It's tough, since I don't have any ranged attacks (well I have but... you know ^^) and as soon as the pyros come out it gets nasty.

I've never had a run where I didn't complete every mission and searched every planet in the galaxy but this will be the first. I don't have any motivation left for this run (and franchise for that matter), so consider this run finished.
MAYBE I'll give Arrival another try if I'm really bored, but I think if I ever get motivation boost I'll start another run anyway.

Thanks for the funny comments and your feedback, this whole thing started out as a "let's see what happens" idea and I had much more fun than I anticipated. So if you're ever bored and want a challenging run, give Simple Shep a try : )

I went for Storm Speed this time and Zaeed's grenade, but it's still at lvl 1 so it's barely used.

the Praetorian fight is not in the video, that one took over 7 minutes since  my teammates kept recharging the praetorians Barrier again and again. so after 4 minutes or so when they finally both died I could take him down, but who wants to see that ? Oo
Garrus got some grenades to the face for ignoring my commands...

And I either have to change back the resolution or record to another hdd, since the performance is just bad, as you can see in the video. It doesn't make hitting easier...

The Performance issues are resolved, changing the destination hdd for the recordings did the trick. 
Loads of melee and CQC in this one and I even used the grenade launcher once... but not the AR, it kind of sucks in the dmg department  in comparison to my other wepons, so I'm thinking of changing it to the Vindicator.

I see a tendency in my own gameplay: it always boils down to the shotgun and a lot of Shepard Charge + elbow combos. The combo might be most effective weapon against Loki Mechs... as long as you get in close without dying that is ; )

And there are actually some scenes where Inferno Grenade doesn't suck in this video... and with some I mean two I guess

Just for the record: whenever a power user or rocket launcher guy flanks me, I do nothing else then constantly go back and forth, it sounds stupid, you look like a moron, but it usually helps a lot. And changing your direction just a tiny bit when you storm a rocket launcher or power user head on usually let's them miss too.
The same goes for sudden changes in your speed, like stopping mid run or suddenly starting to run (when they're flanking you).

So I'm still lucky when it works well and 3 or 4 rockets in a row fly past me, but I'm at least always trying to force that luck ; )

Mi-Chan's commentary to my last video almost "sounds" angry, so I thought I should at least explain that... he's right though, most of the time lady luck can't get enough of me
