First they said the permanent roster will be smaller. And that Tali and Garrus are 'confirmed' squadmates.
Then they threw up smoke and mirrors regarding the definition of 'permanent'. And then gave a washed up statement about how 'they might tweak the script' based on feedback from the leaks.

And now, before locking another thread:

"We have not yet confirmed all teh squadmates nr whether they are permanent or not."

Why do I think its bull? Because we're 3 months away from the game and its almost impossible to make changes of this magnitude, without having the voice actors camp in the studio. Voice acting is the crutch here, otherwise they could easily fit in new dialogue and scenes without too much effort.

They should come clean about this 'permanent squadmate' nonsense IMO. If you took the literal definition of it, ME1 Wrex, Garrus and the VS were not permanent squadmates. Nor are Grunt (you can keep him locked), Legion, or in fact ANY of the 11 squadmates (since they can ZOMG DIE.....right at the end).

The more they talk about squadmates, the more its starting to look like pre-ME2 VS/Wrex talk all over again. And I clearly remembered how that turned out:

Silence...silence...silence...ambiguous statement...silence...BOOM "Good news everyone Wrex and the VS will have an awesome cameo yee haw Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image!"

...yeah.
