I do know this, my broshep who romanced Ash is patiently waiting to squash those tears in a tender moment inbetween laying the smacketh down on the evil from dark space.

Wow, nicely done and a nice surprise for fans.
I have to say though, despite the awesome job, Kimberley Brooks does with the text, I think it is still quite obvious that the writers intended it as a written letter and I think it works well (and probably best) as such in the game.
Still, nice little surprise there.

Wow, an actual upbeat and happy topic for a change. That was very cool. Glad my Ash/paragon Shepard is all ready to reignite the flames. :D

Wow. That was amazing. O_O

The most emotional reading of a letter I have heard since Mary in Silent Hill 2.

That was amazing!!! I wish that they would recorded that and put it in the actual game. It brings in much more emotion then just reading the text. This makes me want ME3 even more! Thank you Ms. Brooks!!!Image IPBImage IPB

God damn it, I'm crying at work.

Ashley is the best ME character by a country mile.

I haven't played ME/ME2 in so long (thanks to Skyrim), but this audio clip makes me want to fire up a new playthrough.

Where the hell was all this pent up emotion on Horizon? When she thought Shep was dead!

Ah well.

This just makes the writers and voice director seem even worse.

I still haven't forgotten your idea for Shepard to have a video call with his ME1 love interest before the suicide mission. I intend to whip that bad boy out when Bioware starts asking us to give them ideas for the Mass Effect trilogy special edition which is inevitable. Image IPB

Well, I'm glad someone's taking notes :D

Maybe this'll shut up all the Ashley Haters because if you think about the situation IRL, it would be hard to see someone you love die, and suddenly come back years later working for a terrorist group. She was confused and tried to be tough but you can see she really was crying on the inside.

Great VA, just wish the original character had been written better.

Hopefully ME3 will give us a reason to give the space racist another try.

*Sigh* Here we go again with the incorrect labeling of someone. She isn't racist.

–Ash

Death closes all: but something ere the end
Some work of noble note, may yet be done,
Not unbecoming men that strove with Gods.
----

what does that quote mean at the end of the letter?

What's funny about people saying that she's racist (she isn't) just shows me people don't even know what real racism is, oh the things you can learn from video games.
