I cannut cap'n! It remains to be seen whether the Collector's Edition be made available in me country. However much I may ache for this edition (especially the end of the trilogy), I'm really not in the mood to pay 100+ dollars for a preorder from Amazon. Plus this whole ordering from across borders doesn't sit well with me.

I guess fandom has it's limits. Regular edition for me this time.

I'm a bit disappointed by the weapons included. Seems to me they could've made them more unique. Other than that it's a must buy!

Pre-ordered two days ago. They won't let me pay the whole thing off in one go, unfortunately, but I'll be there first thing in the morning to get it. I wonder if we are getting midnight releases in Australia too?

Depends, I think EBgames did it with Skyrim and GoW3 here in NZ so they might with ME3

Yep, you can. The cashier that helped me when I paid mine off just told me to bring a photo ID when I go to pick my copy up. Sounds simple enough, but I'll probably take my preorder receipt as well.

...given the literally thousands of hours invested in playing, forums, texmod-adventures, gibbed experiments, writing, and reflecting on the series, not to mention four-figure dollars spent upgrading and tweaking hardware just to maximize the experience, no, don't think I'll be pre-ordering...after all, one needs to set priorities in one's life...or maybe I've already pre-ordered - things get hazy after a while...

I was going to but after reading that I MUST have Origin installed to even install and run the game, then it is a deal breaker for me. If it is going to require me to have Origin for the online deluxe edition as well and if there is not easy offline mode, then sadly I will not be buying this game at all even though I have been an ardent supporter of Bioware.

I've pre-ordered the game... but not the Collector's Edition. I'm more of a "making of featurette" kind of CE purchaser.

I would like to get the Bonus Mission/Char though... hopefully that'll be included for anyone that pre-orders the game....

And I wonder if Bioware can dis-entangle themselves from this mess and insist that their future games do not require Origin to play? It would be very sad for me if I have to forego their future games as well because of this issue.

can you please tell me (if possible to do so (a) without going grossly off topic, ( starting a flame war and © getting this thread locked) why people are so upset at using origin?

Its a crappy second rate imitation of steam (of which I was originally not a fan, and in fact resented having to use it at all)  but as long as I can run the the game wtf do I care?

PS honest question - not a paid bw/EA secret agent.
