I'm having a really tough time with this. I just started playing ME2 a couple days ago, after I beat ME1 on the same character. Every time I try to go into the lab on the Normandy, I get a black screen and an error message, booting me off the game and I have to start all over from the last save point. I tried making a new Shepherd, but it still happens whenever I attempt to talk to Mordin.
Any help would be greatly appriciated!

With a repeatable crash in same location, first step would be reinstall game(or verify integrity if steam.)
If that doesn't fix then a full list of your machine specs as well as DRIVERS.
