So alot of people or maby even all who cares about Mass effect has seen this scene when Shepard finds that little kid hiding in the ducts when the Reapers attack and alot of people who has seen the leaked beta knows that the Reaper bastards will kill him when he's in a shuttle. These are some of the first scenes in ME3 and they are probably the saddest moments in the ME universe so far if you ask me. And when you see the look on Shepards face when the child dies, it's hard not to feel anything yourself even if it's just a game. When making a demo i know that alot of companies puts in good scenes to show of the game but still got this feeling that this game will be much more emotional, full of sacrifices and death. It's quite hard to avoid it when a galaxy is about to be doomed.
So what do you think about ths so far? Would you like the game to be more emotional, dramatic and more reality based when it comes to death? Or do you think it's to much?

I"ve heard that at some point in the game Soap and Dom will die and you won't have a choice on how to stop it or how to react..but I've heard that Dom's makes a little more sense than Soap's.

Think we're going to see a lot more emotional stuff than just than one scene. Some won't even include someone's death. Maybe it's the banter between the squad. Maybe it's Shepard finally breaking down, losing all of his/her hope. Maybe because Shepard has an argument with the LI ... who knows. I just hope ME3 will be touching like a really good movie. Not just sometimes, but quite often.

And yes, I hope for a really emotional Shepard. Robot!Shepard is no more, time for human!Shepard ^^

What you haven't heard is that you can save both of them if you do something to someone else.

I think it is going to be way more emotional. That's one of the interesting things about a trilogy, and a continuing story. You get to know these characters; rely on them; love them in a way that a one shot game won't accomplish.

So, when things get nasty---you're gonna feel it. We've known these characters for years now.

And I do hope (and expect) Shepard to be more..."human". It's great to be a badass, but it's even better to be a badass despite your inner turmoil.

We'll see, tho.....

In the leak, there is one scene in particular (it's a death scene, but I won't say whose) that really stood out to me as being emotional.

I think the fact that Earth will be attacked is all by itself enough to make it more emotional. As it should be for ME3. The climax of the story should be amazing.

I'm wondering. Do people really expect to be able to save everyone in a Galactic war against a nigh unstoppable enemy?

Nobody who has played Mass Effect 1 and has a brain (Well, you have one if you played ME1 and paid attention) thinks that.

I haven't read the spoilers and saving everyone wasn't a thought that crossed my mind even once.

Now to the op ME3 seems to be the true dark act of the Mass effect series. ME2 didn't really get there but it was darker than ME1.

This game basically shows us the true threat of the Reaper invasion and it represents how weak we are in comparison to the Reaper threat. The first act of the conflict the Reapers attack the 2 military powers homeworld (Palaven and Earth) and utterly devastates it with little resistance. Millions died incredibly quickly and too make it more personnel they needed the kid to represent what Shepard is fighting for and what Shepard can easily lose.

Personally character deaths will ****** me off especially those that I really really like but is understandable. Although a Virmire situation would make it better since it gives people a way to choose. It would still be emotional and show that no matter how hard Shepard tries Shep will still lose people.

Unfortunately that is war.
