Hello, i recently reinstalled DA:O and i have a weird problem!

It's like the game won't recognize the surroundings!
My character keeps dissappearing under the streets of Orzammar, walking into the walls of the Deep Roads and such.

The weird thing is that everything else works great.. i can access my inventory, my party fights as normal etc
This thing keeps happening in Dragon Age Awakening as well, sinking into the grass , while trying to reach Vigil Keep at the start of the game!

My PC is qualified to play this game, in fact i have played and finished this game on this PC a couple of years ago and i have made no changes to the hardware..
I have a AMD Radeon 4800 series graphic card.

Is there a Physx problem or what, it's really weird!

Any help would be much appreciated! Thx in advance!

Here are some game and system info:

DAOrigins v1.00 (retail disc - original release)

Intel Core Duo E7300  @2.66 GHz

4GB Ram (my Windows recognize 3GB though)

ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series 512 MB
Driver Version - CATALYST 11.2

Realtek HD Audio Output
Driver Version 5.10.0.5567

Microsoft Windows XP Professional
DirectX 9.0c

btw here is a youtube clip of a guy that has a similar problem

the way the screen goes dark and his char dissapears
but when at 00.30 of the clip his goes up on another height, i would just go into it under the street...

Just forget about two years ago. There's something different, probably a background process. Pretend for now you never ran it before; refer to the "Read First" guide and follow along with it, including a full problem report, if neither the Stickies nor Archives can help you. Hardly anyone to answer the questions is hanging around -- I know more graphics hardware stuff than anything else, myself, so maybe I'll see something in the hardware . .

I'll tell you what to try next. Get a thermal monitor. Since you are running a Radeon, get ATI Tray Tools from Major Geeks, install it, and have it put the GPU temperature on the game's screen for you. Then, next time odd stuff shows up, record the temperature and give it to me in here.

these screenshots show one aspect of the problem...

the temperature was between 40 to 60..

GPU temperature was 58-59

also i don't know how i forgot to tell you that my task manager reads like 99% CPU usage during the game!
since i have a dual core cpu i tried to use only one(set affinity), as i read on another topic in this forum but nothing happened, except dropping to 50% CPU usage ofc

Again thx so much for taking the time to help a noob, but i got the itch to play this game again u know ;)
