Hi there fellow forumits,

in light of my upcoming new playthroughs of Dragon Age 2 after preparing some DAO canon ones for importing, I am searching, so far to no avail, for mods that change the amount of attribute and ability points given throughout the game.

With reaching level 27 if all DLCs are installed, Hawke gets only little more than 30 ability points in total which is just enough to max out the primary talent/spell tree and two additional trees.

I find myelf assesing this being a bit low, especially if you want to be able to set up some CCC without sacrificing too much talent points to do so. That is something I seek to remedy.

Unfortunately, I am completely inexperienced in modding, so I can't make it myself in any timely fashion that wouldn't have my interest expire too soon, so I need YOU people to help me.

I already found a mod that doubles attribute and ability points upon level up, but frankly, that is simply too much. I'd be running with at least 54 ability and 162 attribute points around, which is by far completely overkill.
If at all, I'd be perfectly content if I'd just be able to fully evolve four individual talent trees in total instead of merely three, so I am not as confined, but still have enough motivation to choose carefully and plan out builds. Additional attribute points to spend would just be the icing on the cake.

What I recon being the most easy way to achieve such a balance would be by enabling us to buy the Black Emporium elixirs more often, for example having him stocking three or four such elixirs each per act to buy at ones own discretion. You'd still need to scurry for the money and you'd still have the choice to utilize the opportunities or not.

So the ultimate question of mine is:

Are there already such mods available and if yes, could you point me towards them (as I have evidently not found them)?

And if not, would some very helpful and altruistic soul in here perhaps make such a mod for me?

OR, if that is truly an easily assembled change to make, help me with creating it on my own (aka teaching me how to fish (at least in shallow waters))?

Many thanks in advance

Changed title to better reflect the topic, I do not want to unnecessary draw people in here because they thought I offer/meant something else.

Best way imo would be to either have hawk start with 5 extra skills, or maybe at levels 7 and 14 gain extra skills than normal.

Now the existing mods just change a single number somewhere that increases skill gain on level up. I don't expect the change I suggested, or you have asked for, is possible.

I can always just hit the console and script me some elixirs, but that isn't very immersive and I still think that merely three decently leveled talent trees aren't really enough.

Starting with extra skills would be a tad overkill for the early game, but getting extra talent points with level 7 and 14 (and say level 21 (like three points instead of the usual single one plus specialization)) would be fine. That'd be six extra talents, nicely spread throughout the gaming process and that'd be enough to decently skill aboiut three and a half to four talent trees, which would be quite a sweet spot in my honest opinion.

That should indeed be the least difficult and most immersive alternative there is indeed.
