I sure hope Insanity will be truly insane.

My first run in ME3 will be Veteran. I don't think Insanity is hard, but when I play ME3 for the first time, I want to experience the complete story without dying, so an easier setting is preferred. Thus, Veteran.

When I finished ME3 on Veteran, I'll play it on Insanity for the achievement.

I'll do a veteran run through first then bump it up to insane most likely. Although I do hope they improve the variety of enemy tactics and defences. ME2 even on insane was a cake walk as soon as I got the Widow Maker with Tugsten Rounds, add in the Geth Assault Rifle end pop in disruptor ammo or tugsten rounds and you can mow down pretty much anything at range or up close. Even though I enjoyed Me2 spending hours chipping away at different coloured bars could get a bit tedious, I hope this is improved.

im actually stuck on collector ship right now. the revenant kinda sucks lol

Use inferno ammo with it and see hoe it vanhishes every avatar of Harbinger into oblivion in seconds.

Not on Insanity it won't.

Besides, all it takes is a flashbang to turn Harbinger into a complete pushover.

That part was the hardest imo on Insanity, A deadly ambush It was.

I'll start on insanity. It's the last game of the trilogy so I want my first playthrough to last :D

Same for me, will start with veteran for a challenge without the frustration. Besides I want to save insanity for the second playthrough to add to the replayability.

And if you want a challenge without worrying about the story you can always play the coop missions by yourself. (which it looks like I will have to do since I have no internet, and I have not heard of any system link support yet)

haha yeah we're gonna be crying when we're getting owned by Cerberus Mechs but it's gonna be worth it.

And the Collector Ship, at the platforms, that part was hard. Took me a while to beat it.

Nah once you get used to him harbinger is indeed a pushover. The revenant will turn him into putty, just load up on inferno (or tungsten) and wait till he gets close. (be careful about his annoying "push" power) Once he is close, just let him have it full auto, he will die in seconds.

Alternatively bring legion with the widowmaker, he can kill harbinger in two-three shots if specced properly.

You see, Harbinger can only use biotic attacks. Kasumi's Flashbang Grenades disables biotics.

If you use it on Harbinger, then he can't attack at all. He'll become nothing but a mere observer.

Wow I did not know that. Got to hand it to bioware, you keep learning things about their games long after release.

Oh, but here's the downside: He refuses to shut the hell up about how you're delaying the inevitable if you use the flashbangs.

That said, it's a pretty funny thing to do.

As long as insanity is still fun. I am all for fun hardest difficulty settings. Skyrim, the most recent example, is very fun on master.

DA2, is not fun at all on nightmare.

I wish my Warp broke enemies out of cover.

I thought he was referring to Harby? He always knocks me out of cover if I'm not careful. <_<

does anyone here remember playing the ME1 mission for wrexs armor?

that was one of the most difficult missions because the AI actually did

That is wrong. The turian assasins did the same when they got damaged. And stayed in cover until they regenrated their health.

The Warp-style one is actually a different attack.  He throws the incendiary one a few times, and then throws out the cover-busting "black Warp", and then goes back to the fire.

If you're playing from level one on insanity in ME1, those turian assassins outside Fist's are arguably the hardest  encounter in the entire game.  Even worse than taking on the krogan on Therum at low levels.

Yep, definitely what I was referring to. And it is one annoying attack, I must say.

I just make sure to bring Kaidan on that mission. Battlemaster may be immune to my biotics, but not neural shock.
