The Warp-style one is actually a different attack.  He throws the incendiary one a few times, and then throws out the cover-busting "black Warp", and then goes back to the fire.

Isn't the black one a psuedo-Singularity?

Anyway, the flashbangs are great, because then you don't have to worry about Harbinger knocking you out of cover and then you can kill all the remaining Collectors so he can't take control of them and then you just have to kill his avatar as well.

I've even punched him to death a few times.

If you're playing from level one on insanity in ME1, those turian assassins outside Fist's are arguably the hardest  encounter in the entire game.  Even worse than taking on the krogan on Therum at low levels.

Especially when you have the beginner equipment, which is total crap.

Never had trouble with the assassins, but that damn krogan caused me all kinds of hell. Mostly because I couldn't keep him out of melee range.

Oh, but here's the downside: He refuses to shut the hell up about how you're delaying the inevitable if you use the flashbangs.

That said, it's a pretty funny thing to do.

Oh, I see that. That is hilarious!

... I would LOVE to play through ME3 on Insanity on ONE CONDITION. No cheap tactics for making the game harder on Bioware's part. I HATE it when game designers use the old "give the enemies twice as much health" trick; it's not fun- it's cheap. If Bioware would promise to give me "insanely" difficult A.I., I'd dive right in to Insanity B)

No one is forcing anybody to play at insanity. Good AI is not really going to happen, so no point in harping on it.

I love playing on the hardest setting even though I die a lot. The best feeling is completing the game and getting all of those achievements. Mmmmm the feeling of popping those achievables nothing like it lol. Any way I will always do the insanity run throughs.

Insanity was pretty easy, I mean the people were easy but sometimes I'd get swarmed by Mr.Husks and die in a split second, but it was fun.
I hope they make it more difficult though, in Me3.

Insanity was really easy for me in Mass Effect 1-2 with my Vanguard, hopefully they up the difficulty a bit.

Insanity was easy if you knew what you were doing. If you ever left cover for more than a few seconds though.... Which made varren, husks, and scions very, VERY annoying.

I liked Insanity in ME2, though it wasn't the most challenging thing in the world, it wasn't easy at all. My playthough was officially 47 hours, but it might've actually been close to a hundred due to all the restarts I had to make (Collector Ship, Purgatory, Final Boss minus the Cain). But it wasn't impossible.

At least it was better than the ME1 Insanity mode, the enemies on average (especially Husks), took about 10 seconds of continuous fire to go down; and that wasn't in cover! So really it was just easy mode with the annoying meter cranked up to insanity!

I play exclusively on Insanity for both 1 and 2, after my first/second playthrough. Yes the hardest fights in the series are the assassins outside Chora's Den and Therum battlemaster- to make the second easier, I grind a bit before going to Therum by doing UNC missions. If you can max out Lift on one character, then it becomes much easier. Insanity on 1 is nerfed by how OP biotics are.

Insanity on 2 is just good fun.

Trust me Ohei - Insanity in ME2 is casual difficulty. But I've never found any of the missions frustrating :P

In ME1 Insanity is quite easy but it got some hard areas as stated above.
Insanity in ME2 is as hard as walking over the street.

This is of course only my opinions but i would love if i actually had a hard time on Insanity in ME3.

What I dislike most is that the highest difficulty level aren't "insane" or "nightmare". It's a disservice to those people who actually enjoy very hard games not getting that challenge.
The hardest setting should be "not quite sure this is possible to complete, but you are welcome to try"
That way there is a difficulty matching all playstyles.

Legendary in Halo 2, now that was a true hard difficulty. The game became borderline sadistic at one point with all the snipers and upgraded enemies.

I wish we could play first playthrough on insanity.

Your wish is granted. In ME3 you can start on insanity.
Also, I started on normal, but then on one of my later playthroughs, I decided to switch to veteran since I heard in ME3 Normal is the new veteran. It was so easy, I went up to hardcore. Hardcore wasn't very hard so I went up to insanity. I then preceded to play through the collector ship on insanity without dying on my first ever insanity playthrough.

But i doubt that flashbangs are supposed to work this way(they dont have an unlimited duration) and should disable his attacks forever...
Using them on harbringer is using an exploit/bug of the game.

It doesn't specify how long the disabling of biotics is going to last.

And if he starts shooting again, shove another flashbang down his throat.

In ME1 you couldn't play Insanity until you beat ME1 on Hardcore, while same for Hardcore until ME1 is beaten at least once.
