When I went to install battlefield 3 it automaticly installed Origins aswell.Once it was installed and registered All of my previous games stopped functioning " all retail / all registered "
Dragon age and Dragon age 2 both had physxupdater.dll remove when installing ORIGINS.I went to re-install and update each game.I tried using the utility to side step having to reinstall the game but there were no repair options to do so.Once I got to the main menu where you log in and check downloaded content.They were all placed in " Unarthurized status " and If you un-install and keep your saves all those Unarthurized need to match up with saves or you can't play them or any ingame added content if making a new game.Also my Log in will not log in anymore while using the same name and pass ... but will work through browser.
Also had the same problem with Mass Effect 2 no DLC's work any longer due to installing ORIGINS.I have to now find a way to get my DLC functioning most of all Mass Effect 2 Saves to transfer to ME 3.
Too all those thinking of installing ORIGINS through a newer purchased game from ea or game company with ea logo on it have origins installment and doesn't give you an options to not have it while installing these games.
I've been on the phone , e-mails and live chat for over a week now and the only real help was the phone support but that was more tell you they'll fix it or say its something in your machine.
I did some lookin into what happened and its a File within ORIGINS called crc " don't know the correct name " that I assume messed all my games up since it puts this file in each one of the games you own that are registered.
If you install Origins fair warning from a ligit gamer and I'm still at this time trying to get it to work uninstalling / re-installing my retail games.
The messed up thing is that they" EA support " can't admit it was Origins itself when I have time stamps on everything " uninstalled/installed/last played saves."They show up on login in browser but will not connect from game to browser link to site and all of the DLC content is there under registered content but unable to connect or play that dlc content at all.Yes , I've tried everything on my end firewall settings , router ports , admistration rights UAC.
I've returned battlefield 3/faulty software and got CoD 3 instead ,
.and there dang luck theres a disclaimer if they screw up because I have family and friends that are Supreme court judges and lawyers that would love to sew a multi-billion dollar company and there are always loopholes...
