I think he's just doing this for his own amusement though he does apparently work in the industry. I do kind of like some of his ideas though.

Don't really think so as the eye color is blue not gold.

The outfit's cool. Longer hair is nice, though maybe give her a different hair style that has longer hair. She's definitely sexy looking.

A lot better than the other one using DAII's system. I could get behind this.

I love the look of that outfit, but her hair should be black rather than dark brown and the eyes should be yellow.

The sword is apparently spell weaver which was best for Arcane warrior so it is sorta consistent.

Her hair gives off a brown hue even in Origins.

From the blog, this just seems to be a bored artist who had a couple weeks off work and wanted to reboot Morrigan's look. Nothing official about it. It does look good though.

I also liked the body, but the hair and the face needs a little more work to it.

Pretty cool. Second the comments regarding the hair and eye colour.

Other than that, though? Yeah, I like it.

Meh- I can't see Morrigan wearing that sort of dress with the frilly patterns and all. It just doesn't fit with her more ragtag aesthetic from Origins which did a better job of reflecting her upbringing in the Korcari Wilds. That new outfit just looks like generic High Fantasy. I've seen better alternate outfits for Morrigan.

Wasn't she supposed to have infiltrated Orlesian high society last we heard from her? They be all about the frills. Though I'd be expecting more. And sillier hair.

Anyways, I highly doubt this is how she is going to look.

well if she feels she'll be fighting Flemeth again -- or is raising her kid for something -- she may feel the need to be wearing more armored clothing.

Personally, it still seems very Morrigan to me.

They need to keep as close to DAO morrigan as possible even if it means having one artist work soley on her model and nothing else.
I don't care how much it costs the company to do this as it's importance is paramount.
If they get her wrong I will make it my mission to end them. Right after I get back from shopping.

No, no, no! There's only one thing that horror version of Morrigan deserves: COMPLETE TERMINATION.

I'm with Ethereal - the outfit is sexy, as is the longer hair. I'd totally be down for a design like that.

No way Morrigan would look like that, she'd get messed up with the new art style like everyone else did.

I agree although it was implied that she was in Orlais in some court or something. He did these other concepts that fit my concept of her nicely. I like the longer hair and the examples on the far ends of these (especially the left one even though it's really close to her Origins look). http://scribblingand..._concept_01.jpg

Yeah, if you don't do the Ritual in Origins, Morrigan's epilogue slide says that several years later, tales out of Orlais said that a strange dark-haired mage had insinuated herself into the empress's court. Plus how in every epilogue she is seen heading west over the Frostbacks. Then in Awakening if you romanced Morrigan, your Warden is last seen heading west to Orlais, chasing after a dark haired sorceress who had fought alongside him during the Blight.

But given how the epilogues have been deemed BS rumors I don't know how much merit they have. Especially since Morrigan shows up in Ferelden anyway for Witch Hunt which takes place at least one year after the AD dies, if not several. And then goes to Eluvian Land after that for presumably a long time to gather power.

But even if she did go to Orlais, I don't see her as the type to adopt their fashion to fit in. I'd see her as more of the Rasputin type that maybe is viewed as a curiosity by the Orlesian aristocracy for being so out of their expected norm and then the Orlesians end up adopting some of her aesthetics as a new trend.

Yeah....most of those strike me as more variations on DA2 Flemeth's outfit than Morrigan really.

Ultimately, whatever outfit or "iconic" look she has in the future, I'd hope it still reflects her personality and upbringing the way her look in Origins did, while having it make sense for whatever environment she may find herself.
