What year is it when the story begins? 9:-- ?

I don't believe an exact year is given, but it's the 9th Age after the ascension of The Prophet i.e. the Dragon Age.

Yeah, thanks Bamboo, I also just found that year in the Codex Entry "Thedas Calendar" but it says nothing about days in a year... Bioware?

Considering the massive amount of eggs that are laid every time a High Dragon comes out to make trouble, Dragon Age is an appropriate title for the current age in Ferelden.

50 DKP MINUS! ... (at least WoW taught me to stay to the sides of a dragon...)
I would assume that a year would be the same Gregorian Calendar we use today, just for simplicities sake. Of course my assumptions have an atrocious track record so feel free to ignore me.
