Just a bit of fun...for example mine would be:
Garrus (my right hand man, and second in command he is to be incharge of my team if anything happened.)
Miranda (My love interest always by my side and we can discuss anything to each other)
Tali (Engineer/tech expert, always admired her advanced skills and will be incontrol of maintaing the normandy's problems and faults)
Grunt ( my bodygaurd always there to enforce my justice and protect me from threat)
Thane ( my wet work guy, and i respect his fighting and assasination ability's he is with me when i need someone taken out)
Mordin ( a brillaint scientist and is respected by shepard as his intelligence is like no one elses accept he is not entirley trusted due to the genophage insident)
Kasumi ( my stealth expert if i want something fast and with no one to detect it i send her in for the job)
Jack (i good asset to my shpeards team, accept there is no emotional attachment. she is just there to help me get things done)
Jacob ( a man i have to deal with on my ship, but respect for his history in the alliance)
Legion (disliked, my shepard will not trust a geth and has bad feelings towards them after the events of mass effect 1 , he does not trust legion)
Samara (well respected for her role and what she is capable of, my shepard likes her alot and brings her along when things get heated)
Zaeed (interested to hear his past life experiences and knows he is a veteran but does not get to attached to him for after all he is just a hired gun..he goes where the money is)
What's your shepard thoughts on the ME2 squad and what description would they get?

I have eight Shepards...so I'd take an entire page filling it up. I'll post my canon Shep's to save space
Garrus- student-mentor relationship. Garrus learns a lot by fighting alongside Shepard. She allows him to do what he feels right within reason but reminds him that she's in charge when it comes to the overall mission.
Miranda- I wouldn't say the two of them are friends but by the end of Miranda's loyalty mission and the SM itself, the two developed a respect for one another. Shepard realizes that Miranda is imperfect and human and Miranda realizes Shepard has her flaws and doesn't elevate herself above others.
Tali- If Garrus is like a brother in arms, Tali is Shepard's sister in arms. She's watched how Tali has grown up and matured so much and believes in her, and the Normandy is always a welcome space for Tali.
Grunt- Shepard is admittedly a little scared of Grunt and how he thinks. She hopes Wrex will be able to guide him and help Grunt develop a sense of compassion and sense for the krogan people. Still, he is quite useful in a fight...so useful she almost feels bad for their enemies.
Thane- Admittedly Shepard doesn't really think much of him. No real like or dislike. She knows he's a dying man and is appreciative of his aid on the Collector's Mission, but there's no real friendship or enmity between them.
Mordin- She finds him more than a little annoying but respects his intelligence and his efforts...even for Cerberus. Still she'd prefer not to engage him in conversation for too long...his chatter tends to spike her L5 implants quickly.
Kasumi- Feels a little threatened because of her interest in Jacob but otherwise no real opinion for or against her. Shepard knows she's not a friend or an enemy and that she doesn't really have a long term invested interest in saving the galaxy.
Jack- Found her compelling and the urge to help her...but Jack had to put Shepard in her place and remind her that she can save galaxies but can't change everyone. Still Shepard has an enormous respect for her.
Jacob- Her love interest after Kaidan. Sure he didn't come onto her first nor does he seem like he's proposing marriage, but he's still a stable good man. She hopes to have him continue to aid her on her mission against the Reapers...and to continue their relationship.
Legion- Feels a bit threatened by Legion actually. She doesn't trust geth and doesn't plan on starting with Legion. The statement of 'they're just machines' rings really true, so she has no emotional interest in Legion or the geth and doesn't plan on it.
Samara- A well respected member of the team, Shepard respects her code and appreciates her not hitting on her (as a straight woman Shepard does get tired of asari thinking their gender-free attitude towards attraction applies to every other species...and especially advances towards her).
Zaeed- Shepard's more than a little disgusted by his attitude and trusts him within a length...distant enough where she has the time to whip out her shotgun. Doesn't like him at all.

I too have many a Shepard with greatly varying views on all squad. I'll go with that which is basically my author-insert and in order of reveal (save for one!) starting with ME1 (all in first-person too, to make it "real").
Kaidan Alenko: Kaidan was without a doubt my closest friend during the Spectre days. It took him a bit to get completely comfortable opening up to me, but eventually he did, and we grew close. When the going was tough, he always assured me that he and the rest of the crew had my back. He was there to mourn the loss of one of our squad with me, and he rushed to find me when the Normandy was attacked by the Collectors.
What happened on Horizon marked an unfortunate turn in our friendship. If I get a chance to see him again, I hope to make that right.
Ashley Williams: Ash was one of the finest soldiers to serve under my command - tough as nails and driven to be the best soldier she could be. Leaving her behind on Virmire remains the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my post-Alliance career. But with our team's ultimate success in stopping Saren, Ashley's heroism was recognized and would later be decorated - not just by Alliance, but alien groups as well.
Her sacrifice inspires me to this day, not only for her courage/dedication, but the way she overcame differences from her family background to selflessly give her life for the rest of our team and the entire galaxy itself.
Garrus Vakarian: The turian and I forged an interesting relationship since recruiting him to stop Saren. One of a mentor and understudy at first, soon to evolve into one of close friends on a very much professional level. Garrus was grateful for the opportunity to work with a Spectre when I first recruited him, but quickly learned that I had rules of my own and held my squad to a very high standard. We had our share of disagreements about things along the way, but Garrus always remained loyal and received everything with a positive attitude.
The Garrus I met again back on Omega was a changed man. Clearly, the experience from working on my mission had that effect on him. But when he needed my help again on our next mission, I took the time again to reinforce the values of principles and personal discipline that I'd instilled into him before. Garrus has my utmost trust and lots of respect, and I hope he finds his calling in the world.
Tali'Zorra vas Normandy: As with the rest of the squad on my Spectre missions, I've been through a lot with Tali. Despite her seemingly harmless and upbeat demeanor, she's got some serious cahones in the fight as a shotgunner and tech combat sabatour. And despite my ties with an enemy of her people, she selflessly left everything behind to serve with me again in the suicide-mission. I owe her a ton for all she's done for me.
Urdnot Wrex: I never developed closer ties with any soldier than I did with Wrex in my hunt for Saren. I initally had no interest in recruiting a random mercenary to my squad to play war. But when he told me what he was fighting for, I sensed a cause for something much greater than simple credits. Ultimately, his loyalty to our cause was tested on Virmire. But he stood down and placed his trust in my command. And as a show of mutual trust, I had him fight by my side in the mission to destroy Saren's base. We came out of Virmire stronger for it. And Wrex was there with me when we made the jump to Ilos and ultimately saved the day on the Citadel.
I'm happy that Wrex has returned to his people and looks to help them return to glory once again. Nonetheless, I'm hoping to fight one last mission with my old friend in the battle ahead.
Liara T'Soni: I allowed Liara onto my squad for biotic talent (though there was no shortage of it on the ship) and possible value as a Prothean expert. She was vulnerable, being as she was on the run from Saren, and I was a gentleman about it. We grew close, but maybe not quite as much as she hoped. Still, she was a valuable part of my crew, and fought at my side at the end of my hunt for Saren.
The experience undoubtedly changed her in a weird way when I saw her 2 years later on Illium, gunning for the Shadow Broker. Nonetheless, I helped her, and reminded her that that's what friends do. In the end, my respect grew for her at the end of this mission. She showed personal strength and resilience I never knew she had in her and unwavering loyalty to me and her friend Feron. I could not ask for a better friend.
Jacob Taylor: Jacob, bless his heart, is a good guy. I'm just not sure what he is, or if he himself knows who he is. The more I tried to get to know him, the less I did. Sadly, after seeing his father, it seems that inability to lead men and command respect runs in the family. I see the potential in him to develop into something great, but he has much to learn on the way to realizing that. So I hope he took away valuable experience from the Collector mission.
Miranda Lawson: It was a rocky start with operative Lawson as her Cerberus-first loyalty posed major differences with myself in my mission with their group. But ultimately, I grew to admire her for what she is - a strong and indepenedent woman, driven, and a fantastic leader. I quickly saw why Cerberus valued her, she was an invaluable #2 on my ship. If she's available to me in the future, there's certainly room for her in my squad again.
Mordin Solus: Mordin is one of the greatest men I've had the privledge of meeting. A man who did his part for galactic stability, though controversially, and committed himself to doing it again as part of my team. He showed the dark reality behind the affect that people - of our kind of importance - have on the rest of the galaxy, the truly hard decisions we have to make for the good of many (at the expense of others). I learned a lot from him in our talks, about anything from galactic society to personal matters important to us. And like a great friend, he ensured my safety in sexual endeavours I may have later engaged in.
Zaeed Massani: I quickly saw why TIM footed his hefty fee to get him on my squad, that man is a phenomenal individual soldier. Zaeed has an ever present dark-side to him, but one of a pragmatist who realizes the harsh realites of the world, and had interesting life stories to share. He also served to show me what path not to go down as I grow old - a man making a life off killing. Note to self: if/when I'm alive after the war is won, settle down!
Kasumi Goto: she brought something very different to the squad. Like Tali with a swagger and fun sense of humor. I respect anyone with the kind of skills and talent that she showed me on our heist of Donovan Hock's vault, and she certainly put them to great use for our team. I enjoyed taking time to catch up with her and the gossip she provided me about the rest of our ship.
Urdnot Grunt: I'm impressed at the way that Grunt was able to find his way in life without any parental figures to offer him any guidance. I'm not sure I had much direction to offer him of my own, as a human to a krogan. Nonetheless, as his battlemaster, he made me proud on the mission in stopping the Collectors. The next great krogan ala Wrex, maybe?
Thane Krios: I felt for him and his personal loss in life, and was glad I was able to help him make amends as he needed to. It was not often I required him in my day-to-day routine, but he was everything they said he'd be when called upon. With his days drawing to a close, I am happy for what I could do for him, and him for me.
Samara: on the opposite spectrum of the likes of the Illusive Man, Samara represents the other extreme of morality I have issues with. A completely strict and inflexible side, sometimes embodying the very evil it vows to fight. Despite those differences and many disagreement of opinion, I did grow to like her in the end. Though seemingly cold and distant, she comes across as very genuine and human all the same.
Legion: it took a good bit for me to overcome some background mistrust of his kind, but the addition to the squad was too good to pass on to start with. Ultimately, Legion proved himself invaluable to our cause in more ways than one, and has as much trust as I could have in an AI. And as we sought to better understand each other, both of us grew to learn a lot about ourselves.
Jack: there could not be a more unlikely person to find a home in my squad than Jack when we picked her up off the Purgatory. In truth, the differences she posed with me were greater than those with Cerberus. As a Spectre, I operated with very strong views on fighting crime and injustice, so there were major reservations in housing a convict aboard the ship. We had a rocky start from day-1, but as I made an effort to get through to her though, I would soon see that she was not actually a bad person, but a very misguided one, not unlike this boy from the hood once upon a time.
Ultimately, my respect for her grew tremendously when I went and saw where she came from. It takes remarkable personal strength and bravery revist personal trauma from childhood. But she went there and faced it, looking it all in the eye and then symbolically pushed it away. After that point, I expected things to go as normal. Then, one of our chats got a bit more serious. It became apparent that we'd both developed feelings for each other, the reality of which was strange for both of us. But as the sucide mission drew nearer, I grew to realize that I wanted her to know how I felt - I wanted no regrets before our imminent death. The rest of which lives on as the most memorable moments of my life. Jack is more than who I love, but my hero, and who I fight for every day.
Kaidan Alenko: Kaidan was without a doubt my closest friend during the Spectre days. It took him a bit to get completely comfortable opening up to me, but eventually he did, and we grew close. When the going was tough, he always assured me that he and the rest of the crew had my back. Garrus: Tough and fun as hell. One of Darren's few real friends.
Tali: A damn good engineer and very loyal, another one of his friends.
Jacob: Smart and reliable, a solid member of the team. Would be a good guy to get to know better.
Miranda: A very smart and capable woman. She has her head on straight. She can hold her own, and he likes that.
Mordin: Kind of funny and obvious a genius. He's a very wise man when it comes to a variety of topic.
Grunt: A wild card, but he's got a love for the thrill of battle that rival's Shepard's own.
Jack: Kind of a fun girl... she kind of makes him nostalgic for his gang-ridden youth. However she's unstable and dangerous. She ought to get over herself.
Thane: A wise man with good character. He has a backbone, something Shepard greatly admires.
Samara: A little hard to understand and sent went back on her word...
Morinth: Alluring and lethal.
Kasumi: A really fun gal. She's very casual, which is relaxing.
Zaeed: One of the toughest men Shepard's every met. He's a smart man and one of the few who could probably keep up with Shepard one on one.
Legion: Weird and a bit of a sage... but also child-like.

Ooh, this is neat. I'll go with my canon FemShep file for this.
-
MIRANDA LAWSON
Traits:
Calm and level-headed...not to say I cared much for her attitude or Cerberus-serving ways. She seemed to have put some of both behind her before death - it could've been lip service, but the gratitude she expressed when I helped her with Orianna seemed genuine enough. I would've kept an eye on her if she'd lived, but I'm not celebrating her death. It's irrelevant now.
Misc Notes:
•The Illusive Man is down one of his top agents. As if he wasn't already sore enough with me.
•Get in touch with Liara for Orianna's new contact information.
-
JACOB TAYLOR
Traits:
Good soldier, solid service history, and wary of Cerberus. Excellent at compartmentalizing and keeping focused on the mission. One of the more trustworthy members.
Misc Notes:
•Still need to take him out for those drinks.
-
MORDIN SOLUS
Traits:
A good man that does good work. Sometimes I wonder if he should be this active at his age, but he moves at a faster pace than anyone else on the ship. We wouldn't have gotten this far without his brilliance, and I'm sure we'll be counting on him in the future. No affliliation with Cerberus whatsoever outside of cooperation with me. He takes a personal interest in everyone's health, too, which wasn't a requirement in the job description. Trustworthy.
Misc Notes:
•His past work on the genophage worries sometimes, especially now that he's been on Tuchanka. Ask Liara and Wrex to keep feelers out and make sure there's no stragglers from Weyrloc looking for revenge.
•Maybe I can get him to perform all of Gilbert and Sullivan sometime.
-
GARRUS VAKARIAN
Traits:
Loyal to me from day one. Able to keep things in perspective. Seems eager to please me - maybe too eager. My objectives shouldn't become his own just because I say so. Still hurting from the loss of his squad on Omega, but Sidonis' death should have brought him some closure. His success in leading the fire teams at the Collector's Base will hopefully help him get back on his feet. ...maybe even out from under my shadow, one day.
Misc Notes:
•Hire someone else to do the damn calibrations.
•...still trying to figure us out. I think he is, too. I hope we can. I hope there's enough time.
-
JACK
Traits:
I only keep her around for a few reasons, one of them being that I'm worried what she'd be doing if we weren't giving her an endless supply of enemies to maim. I wouldn't trust her as far as a volus could throw her, but she owes me for Pragia, and we both know it. Sometimes it seems like she lets her guard down for me, though...and I can't say she doesn't remind me a bit of myself back in the Reds when she does.I should know better than to empathize.
Misc Notes:
•I wonder if she'll tattoo out of her time with us?
•I don't have a single clue where I stand with her. It's almost as frustrating as dealing with the Council.
-
THANE KRIOS
Traits:
Skilled assassin who cares about more than his next paycheck. I know he's come to terms with his death, but it doesn't change the fact that he doesn't deserve it. I'm glad he got the chance to speak with Kolyat. Trustworthy.
Misc Notes:
•His religion is fascinating. I don't agree with all of it, but there's a certain grace to his prayers.
•He still hasn't told me what "siha" means.
-
SAMARA
Traits:
Samara radiates this old, powerful energy...I feel like I'm in the presence of an ancient royalty when she's near. That she would swear herself to me puts a weight on my shoulders that I can't quite describe. It grows heavier when I think about how she trusted me with such a personal matter. She's promised to return to my side should I ever call, but her Code is like an anchor that keeps her from drifting too far towards anyone else. I can never trust her as much as I want to.
Misc Notes:
•I can see why purebloods are such a taboo concept in asari culture...they bring a lot of hardship. But I'm the last person who should be damning someone forwho they fall in love with something they can't control.
•I never knew my mo

URDNOT GRUNT
Traits:
I was positive I'd have to put Grunt down at some point. He's gotten better since being accepted into Urdnot, though - his bloodlust is more focused. I'm proud of him. He's got a real pride in being Urdnot, and with the diplomatic pushes Wrex is making on krogan culture, I'm hoping Grunt will keep evolving. Moreover, he hand-selected me as his battlemaster. His loyalty - so long as I continue proving myself worth of it - is unquestionable.
Misc Notes:
•Keep him the hell away from Jack; I don't even want to think about what they could do to the Engineering Deck together.
•Take him to Omega and buy him a few dances for the hell of it.
-
TALI'ZORAH VAS NEEMA
Traits:
Tali's been through a lot, and stuck by me when she didn't need to. I keep forgetting that she's not half as innocent as she used to be. Trusting me to save her from a life of exile from all she's ever known, telling me about her willingness to "link suits"...she's a good friend. And I wish I knew how to tell her that I think she's wrong about the geth, because it's the only thing that could ever make me doubt her loyalty.
Misc Notes:
•If it ever comes to a choice between Tali and peace between the geth and quarians, I already know the decision I'll make. I pray I'll never have to.
•I know she'd probably show me her face if she asked...maybe one of these days.
-
LEGION
Traits:
Sometimes I wonder if I'm going crazy, letting a geth on the ship. But Legion's as pragmatic as they get, which means I don't have to jump through hoops trying to read it, and the entire ship of geth we blew up was definitely real. I haven't been given a reason to doubt Legion's loyalty so far, but...that consensus was split pretty evenly. I'll keep an eye on it.
Misc Notes:
•Geth culture and history are surprisingly deep. I wonder if there's some sort of way to bring this up to Tali...
•It never occurred to me before speaking to Legion that the Reapers had real names that they called themselves, rather than whatever title we gave them. "Nazara", huh...I guess it won't matter when we wipe the rest of them out, either.
-
KASUMI GOTO
Traits:
Kasumi brings some much-needed lightheartedness to the crew, despite her recent hardships. I can respect that. Morally, she's a good woman, and she's never given me any reason to doubt her loyalty - but she's never getting me into a dress again.
Misc Notes:
•I really wish she'd stop spying on me and Garrus.
• I think she gets a bit bored sometimes, sitting on a ship with nothing to do. Maybe I should take her and Tali out for a night on the Citadel.
-
ZAEED MASSANI
Traits:
Does whatever the hell he wants. I respect Zaeed's strength and experience, and I even trust that he's put his crap with Vido behind him for now, but I don't have the time to constantly babysit his moral compass. I can't blame him too harshly, though...revenge gets the best of us.
Misc Notes:
•I may be a bit hard on him, but I still enjoy his stories. Zaeed's seen a lot of crazy things.
•How much did The Illusive Man pay him, anyway?
-
MIRANDA LAWSON
Sometimes it seems like she lets her guard down for me, though...and I can't say she doesn't remind me a bit of myself back in the Reds when she does.
-
SAMARA

Garrus: Adia and Garrus are as tight as one would expect them to be. Garrus is her right hand man and possibly her closest friend in the galaxy.
Tali: Not unlike Garrus, Shepard and Tali are close. Tali would be the only potential romantic threat to her and Liara's relationship.
Jacob: Adia tends not to trust anyone emblazoned in the Cerberus logo and it showed in Jacob and her's first meeting. Adia grew to trust Jacob as much as she could any Cerberus officer.
Miranda: While initially mistrustful due to Miranda's cold demeanor and praise of Cerberus, Adia learned to value Miranda as a friend and confidant. Often a choice as a partner in battle.
Mordin: Shepard has much respect for Mordin. Especially his compassion towards species unlike his own.
Grunt: Grunt tests Shepard's patience and she often finds herself less of a commander and more of a estranged parent to Grunt.
Jack: Adia feels sympathetic/empathetic to Jack's history and lifestyle - obviously Jack doesn't always appreciate that.
Thane: All the forthcoming secrets makes Adia uncomfortable - she has no interest in being a Siha.
Samara: A captivating figure for Shepard. The commitment to justice is something Adia admires. She admires Samara as an individual as well.
Morinth: No way.
Kasumi: Adia enjoys the personality and stability Kasumi brings to the squad. She wishes they had more time together.
Zaeed: The one squadmate Shepard could absolutely do without. She challenged his blowing up of the Blue Suns base and considered leaving him there to die.
Legion: Shepard's compassionate yet sometimes naive dedication to the preservation and understand of all races quickened her liking to Legion despite her past relations with Geth. She treats him as she would any other squadmate.
Tali: Not unlike Garrus, Shepard and Tali are close. Tali would be the only potential romantic threat to her and Liara's relationship.

Garrus- The greatest friend to shepard, always there when you need him. He is your apprentice more than a student there is a bond there not just a casual friendship. There to take a bullet... and to give one back. My main sniper use him on missions involving geth.
Tali- Shepards reason for fighting the Reapers, not just a romance but to him a representation of that the populations of the galaxy are vunerable and need help. The person i take when fighting geth, end of. A shotgun engineer is more useful than you'd know.
Jacob- I wish I knew him more. The more you talk to him the more you notice he wants to do more for humanity, still think he's fighting for the wrong people. Thorian creepers proved to me Ceberus must die. didn't use him much only on the first few missions. Seems like a good kid, with the sense of justice Garrus lacks.
Miranda- I don't know where to begin, a strange backround a wouldn't know how even shepard would cope with it. I have some respect for her, exceptionaly useful. Still, no real romance there, just friendship
Mordin- Great character one of my favorites, don't really know that much about him, that great medical mind could have been part of Lazarus (except he's not human). I do trust him and have the utmost repect for him
Grunt- Reminds me of wrex in just how blatantly brutal he is. Never stops thinking of the next fight. A great friend of shepard despite being with him since birth (technically) wish I knew about how he came into being.
Jack- would love to help her overcome her emotional backround but already have feelings for tali. as quoted by kasumi about her background 'I don't like it, but I get it.'. If only she was less of a psychopath.
Thane- Pure respect for thane, too bad he is dying, wish things would get better between him and kolyat. A friendly with shepard.
Samara- Not much know about, other than she is very interested in humans, especially their warriors ( " I would say a cross between a Samuri and a Knight " ). The justice she seeks is phenominal, but too harsh for Shepard. Shepard is curious about her but not interested.
Morinth-Dead (wish I killed her earlier)
Kasumi- Very ellusive, could have ben the Illusive woman if she wasn't so casual. I wish she was more interactive, feel sorry for destroying the grey box. Just happy she understands that it had to be done.
Zaeed- Very useful powers wise, loved the character, shepard has respect for him but wildly opposes his sense of justice. Friend... maybe.
Legion- Hard to understand sometimes, feels sorry for the geth after what the quarians did to them. Hopes that the Geth and the Quarians blow up some Heretics.
