Ok, so with the upcoming release of me3 I decided to play through both me1 and me2 again.

Let me start by explaining my complicated wifi connection. (You could probably skip this section but I thought I'd mention it)
I am in my first year in college and before I got here I had played through me2 and uninstalled it because I was running out of space. During my Playthrough I had all the cerberus dlc downloaded and working and also the Overlord dlc. The college I go to has a complicated wifi and does not allow online gaming... at all. It either blocks the ports needed or doesnt have the bandwidth, I'm no expert so I don't know. This includes xbox live, gamersfirst, and steam.. I had to repurchase the first mass effect through gamestop impulse even....
Anyway, I am unable to log into Cerberus and I assume the college wifi is the reason.

The Problem
After redownloading all the dlc I previously had, and now purchasing the Kasumi dlc, I installed them all. They all work fine except for Kasumi. When I start the game I get the notorious "failed to authenticate DLC logon to cerberus account or whatever".

Now I've done a lot of looking up into this and I was really worried I just wouldn't be able to play this DLC because of my wireless connection not working with cerberus. Then I read from multiple places that Cerberus isn't needed for Kasumi and Overlord... So since overlord works I'm wondering if maybe this is just a Kasumi specific problem.

I've tried multiple things (updating my game, reinstalling numerous times, turning autologing to cerberus off, etc.) and nothing seems to work.
Also, When I look at the "registered game content" area the Kasumi DLC is listed.

My question is...     Do I have to login to Cerberus in order to "authenticate" the Kasumi DLC?
Or is there another way to get this thing working?

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

Once you have installed DLC, you will need to connect to the Cerberus Network once to verify the installation against your account. After it has done it, you can once again disable login and play offline.

If on a laptop, it might be possible to go for a wander down to a cafe or pub with free wifi, and just use that to authenticate your DLC.

Before the really terrible monsoons flooded out so many factories in se Asia, I'd have said that HDD storage space shouldn't be a problem, but both prices and availability have been affected. Nevertheless, instead of being a really great bargain, now it's only a very good bargain to upgrade to a larger HDD.
