Guns that I like charging with more than Claymore, in no particular order:
Viper
Vindicator
Revenant
Tempest
Shuriken
Carnifex
Scimitar
Eviscerator

Lol, this brings me back to the time when ppl were debating how ARush was too OP to use.Mi-Chan wrote...
On a soldier though? Where you only use the shotgun? Then I find the reload trick to be just fine. You have to charge manually, thus taking fire and losing your shields. Then you're in the red and it's a kill-or-be-killed situation that requires killing speed. There's also a noticable lack of staggers that the Vanguard has.
 :applauds:Instead of talking about overpowered versus not overpowered and what's cheating/not cheating since these can be subjective (barring Heightened A rush + Mattock and Stasis-fall-of-death) and let's leave it at "I find x fun, and you find y fun." There's no need to beat a dead horse.
Agreed?

manual fire rate gun that's ROF is unaffected by time dilation
active ability that grants time dilation and damage bonuses
it's really not possible to make it out to be anything else. not that i mind, i'm all about people using what they enjoy, it's just that objectively viewed and compared against all other damage forms in the game, it's head and shoulders above the rest.
edit: assuming adrenaline rush/mattock is what you were referring to

But yes, I agree that it is out of line with everything else in the game.
Ha, I almost forgot about Shredder Ammo. It's sad because it was decent in the first game.Mi-Chan wrote...

..I don't get the hate on reload cancelling it was one of many tricks in games I grew up on that became video game norms. I guess it is min/maxing technically, but it is has been in so many games I've played it is as natural to me as you picking a Viper for range and Scimitar for close range -- common sense basically. It makes the Claymore like .25 seconds quicker than the Eviscerator + elbow from my own experience, so it really isn't even that big of a difference. I'd argue picking a second weapon is better min/maxing than utilizing reload cancelling with the Claymore. The only time I notice the difference between the Claymore and other shotguns is versus bosses. I'd argue the Scimitar is the best for your typical encounter, shoot+elbow into squad warp bombs will make levels go by real fast.
Basically you're pressing the same keys in the same order; LMB+F LMB+F LMB+F. One physically adds to your dps by hitting a mook with your elbow, and the other boosts your dps via your weapon reload speed. I prefer shooting stuff and proccing my ammo powers rather than throwing bows myself.
I saw the debate had to say my peace back to the current topic.
Yeah Vanguards own LotSB. Azure parking lot is my favorite part. The interior of the ship is fun with a Cryoguard too.

Actually, Eviscerator is 1 shot per 1.25s, Claymore is 1 per 1.4s (with the reload cancel). So Claymore is still slightly slower. I absolutely love the reload cancel and I hope they keep it around for ME3!
And yeah, LoTSB is one of the best missions in the game

Mmm... Eviscerator is delicious. If it was a cake it would be chocolate.
If the Claymore was a cake it would be shrapnel and buckshot covered in icing.

Exactly. I'd take shrapnel and buckshot over chocolate any day and twice on Sundays

See, chocolate is in my mind the most delicious, succulent, gift that God has decided to grace this planet with. so it is my favorite.
But alas, I am an American. Buckshot is part of my DNA. Is chocolate my favorite? Yes. Does buckshot hold a special place in my heart? It would be foolish for it not to.

I hope they keep animation immunity for enemies in ME3. It makes the game more fun.

Usually when an enemy is in the middle of an animation they are more or less immune to powers. I think they might still take weapon damage most of the time though.
Interesting, never noticed it myself though. Thanks!

As above, husk is a prime example. It is doing something and you hit slam and it just glows blue.
It is a minor frustration, but can be pretty annoying. It does go both ways though. Shepard sometimes gets a little bit of protection from animations.

Going through an Adept Insanity run, this issue is making me wish I went AR training. Shoot a Husks armour off, use Pull, get punched in the face.

Yeah it does depend on the class. Biotic classes get the shortest end of the stick in this regard.clopin wrote...
