Some probably do. I can't, because I was aware of the forum campaign fo make LIs equally accessible, so to me the situation felt contrived and unrealistic. If the next Bioware game does the same thing I think I can safely assume the BI LI thing is no coincidence, and is indeed an executive decision, and it's the executive decision that gets under my skin.

I was infuriated by Orsino's and Meredith's transformation because both of those felt like combat contrivances despite their RP 'reasons'.

I don't like contrivances! I can go along with them (what choice do you have?), but I'll still voice my dissent.

Back in my day we pushed around models on plastic mats and argued how the Coke can on the table was not an accurate representation of a building and should not be blocking the line-of-sight of the Abram's 105mm gun. It took six tries to syncronize the start of a multiplayer DOOM match! When somebody's computer was overheating you put an ice pack and fan on the thing and hoped to God it didn't break. You'd spend hours reading the Janes Longbow II manual before even starting the game! Because in the days of old men were men and hard drives were 500mb (if you had money)!

So you're issue is that you *think* the devs bowed to pressure therefore you can't see it as just being in character for the characters? Because of some campaign to make everyone bi? (That really only started once Priestly made his vague as hell announcement that would've been far too late to actually influence anything?).

I doubt it was an executive decision (if by executive you mean EA). Then again the romances are played by a minority of players so it might've been make them accessible to the most people possible or get rid of them.

I feel compelled to encourage anyone interested to go here, where you'll find the most amusing page in the Fenris thread. Quite unbelievable (I mention that I don't know the effect of the lyrium, and when i consistently say I don't know what it is, one person says they have to, quote, "calm down" by posting pics. Just WOW).

Yep. Right about now is the time when the arguing ends and it turns into some sort of creepy S&M thing with RavenSword and some other people. 8 or so hours from now, while I am slaving away for my corporate masters, the arguing will resume. Finally the mods will step in with an End of Line just as the hate reaches its greatest levels.
