Anyway, if you think that abject failure of leadership was so irrevelent that you'd insult my intelligence and education for mentioning it, and you don't think that the Axis downfall stemmed from fundamental economic/industrial issues, what exactly is your position on the defeat of the Axis in WW2?

Do you have trouble to read or are you just trying to troll me right now?

I know how the Axis failed and I know for a fact that it wasn't due to bad leadership. But again:

BACK ON TOPIC PLZ!

If you want to get back on topic, just say it.  As long as you keep using it as a transparent "last word" ploy, I'm not buying it.

If you're so certain you know... why can't you give a one or two sentence summary of your position on the underlying causes of the Axis defeat?  Right now, it just looks like you wanted slap up a post about how "wrong" and "uneducated" I am...

*sigh*

Pot, kettle, black. Go figure.

The reason why I won't give my stance on the subject is because the subject is off-topic and I know you're just going to reply to it and then we'll end up discussing WW2 instead of Mass Effect. I don't want that. I want to discuss Mass Effect, not WW2. I just wanted to tell you that you're horribly wrong about the WW2, that's all.

So pretty much what I said.

I was actually kinda hoping you'd post your position because I might find it interesting and something to follow up on, despite your childish swipe at my education.

Well, okay, I'll play ball.

The Germans lost the war because they couldn't handle fighting 2 forces at the same time. I mean the Russians packed a mean punch and when the Allies invaded Europe from the other side it became simply too much for Germany to handle. So Hitler became desperate and started to make reckless uncalculated orders, orders that the German generals knew were reckless, but they followed their orders anyway (well, most did anyway).

That's pretty much the main reason why Germany lost. Not because of their leaders. Germany had some of the most excellent war generals ever.

So, now you know how the Germans lost WW2. If you really want to continue discussing WW2, you can PM me, though I have to tell you up front that I'd rather noth discuss WW2 because I'm really not interesed in that right now.

Now, can we get back on topic please?

Edit: I do have interesting stories from a very old great-uncle of mine, who fought in WW2 for the Axis forces. He told me a lot about his experiences as an Axis soldier. Quite interesting stories to say the least. And no, he wasn't a Na-zi and no, he didn't support Hitler. The story about how he became an Axis soldier is actually long and complicated.

Nope, the facts are in fact with TIM. You're just blinded by your negative emotions for TIM.

Oh, how this post reeks of hypocrisy.

If someone else has a different opinion than you they are blinded by negative emotions for TIM.

One could say that you are blinded by positive emotions for TIM.

I thought it was because the Allies had the resources of an entire world, while the Axis had to scrape up whatever they could inside their borders. Also, the American War Machine. You'd have to be an idiot to even suggest that had nothing with the Allies winning.

And, back on topic. Wait, why is this a question? Of course they should. What would be the point of playing one side if the other is clearly better?

Haha! Nope, you're wrong.

I don't have positive emotions for TIM. I think he's a jerk. But I won't let my feelings cloud my judgement, unlike you.

Your turn again.

That means it was pointless to bring up in the first place so why even say anything.

I never claimed support, favor, or a disliking for TIM or his ideals. You let your feelings cloud your judgement when you assumed I took the opposite of your side and then insulted my ability to think for myself.

OMG we've gotten to reductum ad hitlerum? ****s?

Okay, I have to make a comment about the Collector ship. Yes it was a trap. Shepard would have to have the IQ of a chimp or less NOT to know it was a trap. I knew it was a trap on my first playthrough. It wasn't a "what if it's a trap?"

I really wish there had been the dialogue tree in the initial mission briefing with TIM that allowed Shepard to explore that. "I don't buy the Turian crap. TIM, this is a trap. You know it. I know it. So I'm going to be packing some serious heat. What do we need to get? Anything else we really need to look out for other than not getting our ****es shot off?"

But the only conclusion I can come up with is that Shepard is a putz for not asking enough mission critical questions before going on them. And enough talk of this "I don't work for Cerberus." Cerberus was writing the checks. Shepard was cashing them. Hence Shepard was working for Cerberus. Not giving the boss the base at the end and stealing the ship was, well, let's just say it gives TIM grounds for sending assassins to kill your a$#$.

Not that disobeying the direct order is necessarily a bad thing.

I admit, I indeed did assume you took the opposite side, however, that assumption is completely unrelated to my emotions or feelings.

So nope, I did not let my emotions cloud my judgement, I never do.

Is it? You assumed that my opinion wasn't the same of yours. For that reason, you told me that I let my emotions cloud my judgement. Your emotional response to my different opinion was to insult me. I don't blame you, but saying that you never let your emotions cloud your judgement is ridiculous.

Okay, I admit, maybe I shouldn't have added the "unlike you" part in my first response to you. Well, wadda ya know, I made a mistake. Guess I'm not perfect after all.

But honestly, what I said, you're looking to much into it. I'm honestly as apathetic as I can be at this moment. No emotions here, just simple apathy.

Maybe I could set you up with EDI.

*cartoonesque guffaw*

In all seriousness, this isn't even the point of this thread. People need to read the title before they post. <_<

Is this thread about why Renegades and Paragons should have equal consequenses (despite knowing that the main story for ME3 is pretty much complete and nearing Beta Testing)?

Or is it how Evil/saintly Cerberus and/or the illusive man is?

Or is it about WW2?

I think I lost track about 10-12 pages back with all the "I'm right, You're wrong" hateposts.

It's pretty much what any thread involving Paragons or Renegades boils down to. Everyone has to be militant about a subject that'll be irrelevant uintil March 6th.

It was nice to read all that stuff about the Second Great Fun, but as for the thread's actual point, I agree with the OP and don't see how any sane person could act differently. It's rather stating the obvious.

The Cerberus one. This thread has been off topic for a while now.

And yet it's not locked. Which isn't fair; whenever I get a thread off-topic, it gets locked.
