Hey guys! Just wanted to swing by real quick. Glad to hear you guys are digging the teaser track! There's more where that came from. :)

And to dispel any concerns: I've written a nice handful of old school synth stuff, so don't worry. It's a nice balance overall. Here's a sneak peek at some of my synth stuff: from 0:13 to 0:34 in this video:

I can't keep up on all these social platforms, so excuse any lack of response here. Twitter is the best place to catch me though.

Cheers!

Is it weird that I'm more excited about Lennertz and Hulick than I am about Mansell? LotSB was my favorite ME2 music and Sam Hulick of course composed the main theme. Awesome!

Too bad Jimmy isn't back.

Totally made my day :)  The soundtrack is in good hands though.

@Fredvdp: it is not, at least to me. I'm sure ME3 OST will be great. I loved Arrival tunes. I liked how it fit into that ME3 demo title screen when I played it.

@Jimmy: I don't like to be reminded about lack of your name on that list. Makes me sad. :(

Sam Hulick is back! YES!!!! Most of my personal favorites from ME1's soundtrack had him listed as composer. Lennertz's DLC stuff was awesome, and CLINT FRAKKING MANSELL. This soundtrack *might* just top ME1's.

Sam, is it ok if I let them know about the the secret ending cinematic that you scored and performed entirely on a vuvuzela and a didgeridoo? It's pretty epic guys.

I really love all of your synth tunes, Sam. You definitely have a knack for making interesting pieces.

Also, great to hear that Victory will be making an appearance in ME3! All in all, it sounds like you guys are really trying hard to marry ME1's synth-oriented, minimalist approach with ME2's focus on epic orchestral music. Everything sounds great so far!

Haha Jimmy. DON'T BLOW THE SECRET ENDING, where Shepard decides "screw this" and moves to Australia to live in the bush and become a didgeridoo virtuoso. So epic.

MannlyMan: yes, I'm trying to get as much ME1-style synth in as possible. But there are so many huge emotional moments.. and synth doesn't always do the job when it comes to pulling at people's heart-strings.

Mr Hulick

May I say thank you so much for that music, it has gone on my Ipod and is battering my ears with epic, love the ME1 sound bit towards the end, thank you for adding to my already massive amount of excitement for me3

I do second that it's unfortunate Jimmy isn't returning, and not just because his famous big giant circles have made their way into the thread, either. I genuinely do mean it!

But yes, it looks like the OST is in great hands all-around.

So happy Sam Hulick and the others who worked on previous parts are back. I loved ME2 DLC's music as well.

A great many of ME2's greatest tracks were not heard until the DLC, I agree. There isn't a single track in that game that I dislike, but the DLC composers really brought unique gravity and immersion to their chapters in ways that made me just as excited to hear Overlord and LotSB as I was to see them.

Well hello there, Sam! Always a pleasure when you swing by. Thanks for assuaging any concerns, although I think I was past them as soon as I saw that composer list. And thanks for the link! I can safely say that the tunes from that video were very well-received here across the community.

Sam Hulick is back?

Also the Arrival composer is back?? :D

Combined that with Clint Mansell and OMGGGGGG.... I can die happy now.

This is hands down the best thing I've heard in a looong time. :o

Well yes, that was the worst news I've heard in weeks, no doubt.

But this helps to alleviate things. I'm still not gettin' rid of this banner though, dangit!

Nice sample. Although I think im playing too much Skyrim.  All I could think of was how fitting that tune would be for the game
