From the Mass Effect 3 Facebook page:

We're officially announcing our team of talented composers who have played a critical role in Mass Effect 3's musical development, with direction by our audio team. The roster of composers for Mass Effect 3 includes:

Clint Mansell, Golden Globe nominated Hollywood composer recognized for scoring celebrated films including Black Swan, The Wrestler and Requiem for a Dream.
Christopher Lennertz, Emmy nominated Hollywood composer known for his work on the recent movie Horrible Bosses, also composed Mass Effect 2: Overlord, Mass Effect 2: Lair of the Shadow Broker, and won the Interactive Academy Award for Medal of Honor.
Cris Velasco, known for composing the God of War series’ score, has also worked on downloadable content Mass Effect 2: Kasumi and Mass Effect 2: Arrival.
Sam Hulick, veteran to the Mass Effect series having composed the score for Mass Effect, Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky and Mass Effect 2.
Sascha Dikiciyan, video game industry veteran, known for composing the score for TRON: Evolution and the scores of Mass Effect 2: Kasumi and Mass Effect 2: Arrival.

“The magic of BioWare games has always been the emotional power of the story, so music is extremely important to the experience,” said Casey Hudson, Executive Producer of the Mass Effect series. “With Mass Effect 3, we’re taking players on a more personal journey, even though the scope is bigger than ever – an all-out galactic war! Each composer has played an intricate role in delivering the combination of epic scope and delicate emotion that will make Mass Effect 3 the best game in the series.”

Listen to the teaser music and let us know what you think about this great team!

Just saw this too. Teaser music isn't much though... wish they'd given us a downloadable track or something...

Anyone else getting an epilogue vibe from the music teaser?

It is downloadable :P just paste the link to a download manager, it's a direct MP3. And pretty awesome, too. I loved the original theme snippet at the end.

Well, yes, I realize it's downloadable... it just feels like a snippet, rather than a full track. Bad wording on my end. Still good to hear something from the music team though.

I guess it was meant as such :)) a teaser, just like they labeled it. Can't wait for the full thing.

I remember all the worry about the music for ME3 back when Wall of Sound was announced as leaving the ME team. After hearing tidbits of new music that have been coming in from various sources (like trailers), I'm really excited about this new soundtrack. It's going to be epic.

Teaser, Y U no longer???

Seeing Hulick is still there makes me a happy panda. I just can't help but wonder if Mansell's part in this is going to be similar to Hans Zimmer's in Crysis 2, where he only wrote two tracks (I think, could be wrong though).  In any case, the music is probably going to be perfect. :D

Christopher Lennertz...niiiiice. I adored the music from Overlord and Lair of the Shadow Broker. I kind of hope they remix LotSB into Liara's theme.

Agreed. LotSB had some of the best music made for the series. This is a solid team of high-profile musicians. I am excited to say the least.

I think that's an understatement. I've had the teaser track on loop since you guys posted it - very moody and awesome =]

This is an awesome team of composers! I also loved the tracks from Overlord and LotSB, and it's great to see Sam is back.

When do you guys think we'll have some more tracks? Only with the demo maybe?

I belive Rob has said earlier that the demo will contain pretty much finalized music, albeit not fully mastered. So that's a yes :)

I doubt it.

Clint Mansell is popular as Hans Zimmer and using him just as marketing stunt would be a huge waste.

Crytek did it. And as far as I know, Mansell hasn't been furiosuly marketed at all. Just this press release. The rest of the hype was generated by an interview he himself gave, and following game footage containing music.

I'm just massively relieved the Mass Effect Theme is still being worked into some of the new music - I had this horrible fear that it would have been thrown out like so many movie sequels' soundtracks.
