This, a lot. It sounded just like something I heard in Halo 3 at one point.

I like Xzibit but I figured Sam Hulick more of a Drake fan,  maybe a Kanye fan even.

Kanye loves his tech music, almost as much as Kanye loves Kanye.

That picture is an Internet meme. I don't think him using it indicates he's an xzibit fan. He could very well be, but that pic/meme has been around the internet for a while .You've never seen that meme before?

I agree with the Halo vibe, which is by no means a bad thing. If this team reaches Marty O'Donnel's level in terms of emotionality, it'll be just... awesome.

I really hope it's not just orchestral music though, make sure there's plenty of techno/synth etc.

Epic orchestral music from trailers, games and movies have many common denominators. Great pieces stands out from this, linger in your memory and establishes a soundscape for what it tries illustrate. this teaser fails on all accounts.

Agreed, but this is but a teaser, and it does contain the iconic theme which defined the series, albeit in a subtle fashion. Whatever the case, you can't just objectify emotional response from music =)) it absolutely succeeds for me. Tugs on nostalgic times and teases for what's to come. All I can ask for this early to release.

Hey guys!
I'm about to take a nice two-day break, returning to the studio on Monday to work on wrapping things up! Just wanted to say Happy Holidays to everyone, hope you all have fun, relax, stay safe, eat some good food, and hopefully get some game time in.. cuz sadly, I won't. And I've got this shrink-wrapped copy of LA Noire just staring me in the face. Argh! Skyrim is still on my wishlist, too. I've completely avoided it because I know it'll suck me in. The sad thing about working in the video game industry is the little time you have to actually PLAY games.
