DA2 was disappointing for me, as most everything I loved in the original was gone. I am an RPG gamer, and I enjoy shooters on occasion, but felt like DA2 was more of Dragon Effect than a DA title. I have not been able to replay it through again, and I've tried several times. DA:Origins on the other hand, I still play that game. In fact, I've been replaying it as of this month. I have beaten DA:O roughly 8x, and it is still fun. I have probably devoted over 200 hours to it. I love the characters, the story, and the choices.
PLus, DA:O with Gaider's books = heaven.
I am looking forward to DA3, as it seems like they're planning to implement the good of DA:O and DA2 together.
I really hate that accusation. Shooters are a million miles away from what DA2 was. Not only is it a million miles away by the way, it's also deep underground hiding behind RTSs and Simulation games.
