During the last days during the final battle a lone Templar fell to the ground then a Heavenly light appeared

before him and proclaimed its not your time yet. Dismayed the Templar arose and was transported to a Realm

unlike anything he had ever known. It was the Realm of the Demons. The spirit that took him there was a Demon

who was trying to reset the balance. As the Darkness disappeared he saw the true form of the One it was Dragon

unlike any he has seen before and he felt no anger or hate towards this beast but who or whatever it was. The

being was dying but had enough strength and magic left to bring the templar to his Realm, he bestowed upon the

Templar strength and powers of a very old Demon whos real name was lost in the ages before man.

So, when can we post to ff.net? I saw in one post it said "after winners are announced" and in another it said "after the 10th" or some such. I'm impatient and want to add mine so I can get back to my normal fic! :P

I was wondering when they would let us know the winners as well. All I've seen is the 10th is the last day to submit stories. I hope there isn't a terribly long waiting time between now and the winners.

I know they are already reading the entries sent to them. So hopefully it won't be a long wait for the winners.

Acolyte, that’s what the Templars call me. Simply because I’ve been clever enough to avoid them and their prison they call the Circle. I’ve seen what happens to mages in my village, they are torn from their families and never heard from again. The stories they tell in the village says that most of them become tranquil. What a horrible ending to have, not dead, but barely of the living. Might as well be an abomination. Severing someone from their dreams all because you don’t understand them?! Well not me. I won’t go down without a fight.

Would have been fun to enter this although I think it might be too late for me to do so.

I made mine today. And although, yes, I would have enjoyed having that time to make a second draft and improve it, it's still presentable, and you might be surprised with what you can come up with! There's still 11+ hours left!

I submitted my short story on the 7th, a Saturday, and never received a confirmation back from community@bioware.com. I was wondering did anyone else not get a reply confirming the competition received their manuscript. Thanks.

I didn't get an e-mail back. Were we supposed to?

No, we aren't getting confirmation emails at all, so maybe set your email to request a read receipt if you NEED the confirmation. That said, as long as it doesn't get bounced back to you (I've been checking my spam just in case) I think you're okay.

The last of my blood:

I walked with him up toward the Harrowing Chamber. I had selected the job within the chamber as a way of assisting the Templars with the apprentices. I would be the first mage they see when they woke up confused and unsure of the real world versus the Fade. I had taken it a few moons ago when the last one passed away of old age. I was told it was a boring job but each time I saw a mage wake up and succeeded it filled me with joy.
“Please don’t make me go in there!” My brother begged me holding my arm.

Still Alive:

Misplaced by Templars, found by bandits, menaced by darkspawn. Petra's excursion to the
Koerci Wilds turned out to be a lot more than the young mage bargained for.
Caught in the middle of a Blight, the student of ancient history can do little
but try to survive history in the making.

Not when you have to work all day...sigh. I will still give it a shot when I get home, I think it will be too late by then though.

“What the hell are you?” The apostate demanded, summoning a spell to her hands just incase the thing decided to attack.
“Despair.” Was the cracked reply that Laurn got as the demon hugged itself.
“Oh? Are you going to offer me the ability to bring despair to my enemies? Or maybe the ability to take it away from myself?” Laurn demanded, “Well I will not allow you to have my body just for something that pointless!”
“No. Nothing like that.” The demon whispered, its crackling voice low and broken, much like the orphans of the blight that she saw all around. “I would offer you a chance to mourn. You have lost too much, I can feel it.”
Laurn watched its thin body stand up slowly and could see that it’s arms and legs where abnormally long and slightly gnarled. Like twisted bits of thick wire shaped like limbs. It stepped closer to her, she took a step back, body shaking as she looked into those pale, sad, broken eyes.

I wonder how many entries they have in total now.

Check the number of entries per page, multiplied by the number of pages, in the abstract thread... since only stories that posted an abstract there will be considered.

By my reckoning, they have over 300 entries thus far. They have at least enough stories to fill several anthologies.

I wonder how many of those have word counts over the limit? There are quite a few abstracts that break the 100 word max...
