BrennaCeDria, you're welcome to add mine if you like, too. Thanks!
I've got both you and Ryuu814 added. As of your story (not counting one other, because we're still working on formatting) we're up to 44 pages in MS Word! I think I'll "publish" the epub/mobi/etc files once the winners are all announced, assuming they'll also let me add them in. (If they aren't already included!)
Edit: you know, at first I was all antsy about sharing my own story, but putting together this compilation for more than just my own use is kind of exciting, too! Does anyone have any sort of fan art I can use as a "cover" to our little book?

I have a history of mages in Thedas, told in stick figures. Maybe page four as an representation of the grave metaphysical risks mages face?

Heck, I say that should have been entered in the actual contest. Nothing in the rules said the story couldn't be illustrated, and it's definitely under the word limit!

And done! Haha, when I'm done writing my main fic I'm going to have to read yours with "Brenna Cousland". Too tempting for me to pass up, and I don't normally read too much AU stuff!

Alas, it was previously published, and thus ineligible.
And it really should have been done in crayon. *smirks*

Constructive Criticism Requested: Sure (All comments are welcome on my Deviant Art page)
Synopsis: Most stories are about the hero, powerful and victorious. But what about someone caught up in the same events who isn't so powerful. What happens to them and how would they have survived. This is a story of one such mage. Born to a family of fishermen he was found to be a mage if only barely. He did have a talent for being near pivotal events, but just missing them. What do you do when major events swirl around you, but all you want to do is fish.

I can't wait for the Dragon Age: Puppet Show contest.
Back when Aimo and Soignee sponsored the FINE Dwarven Crafts competition, I entered (among other things) a Play-Doh Oghren and a dwarven ballista made entirely out of office supplies.

Just curious, I was going to compile a decent number of entries into a Word doc to make a .mobi out of to read on my Kindle, since that's easier than at the computer for me. Is anyone specifically interested in being included OR in getting a copy of the .mobi file when I have it ready? All stories will include their title and BSN username for credit.(Cross-posting this to the entries thread as well, just in case.)
I'd prefer you exclude mine if you're intending to distribute it.
