Hi guys!
Just posted the results to the writing challenge. You can see them here. David Gaider also posted a lovely companion piece that you can read here.
Please discuss the results in a new thread that you will find here!!!! I probably won't check this thread as much so make sure you're posting in the new thread.
Thanks again to everyone who entered. We really enjoyed reading and will be having more fiction challenges in the future!
Cheers!
Love Mr. Gaider's companion piece.... makes me wish I tried harder or that he read something more original of mine.
Congrats to the winners. I'm interested in particular to read the story that came in at first. Curiosity's like that.

@ColorMeSurprised *laughs* I guess that blood ritual paid off!
I guess it did.
I'm rather speechless to be honest. With my mistakes and all that! But now I'm ashamed if someone reads it. I would like to correct my mistakes beforehand. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/pinched.png[/smilie]
(But still about to faint for my sheer luck!)

Of course, you could be feeling faint from the blood loss too. ^_~ And don't you dare go hiding that story--it was fantastic!

Or the blood loss.
No, no, I will correct the mistakes and link it in the other thread. Though it feels kind of wrong to do that...

ColorMeSurprised really deserved it! Congrats! =)
Thank you!
I just read DGs Storming the Sand Castle
This
and this:DO pay attention to flow. In creative writing, flow is more important than language. Some writers will abuse a thesaurus so badly you half-expect to find it wandering dazed alongside the highway, dress in tatters and lipstick smeared across its face.
made me laugh so hard.Slaughter your word-babies mercilessly, for that pain will put you in the habit of not over-populating your prose to begin with.

I've got the original still for the Kindle/Nook file I'm putting together, I'll know if you change more than just typos!
