I want various outcomes

Romanced - he can survive in game through means of a transplant, he's cured post game (epilogue).

loyal - I would also like his survival to be a possibility depending upon the circumstances in the game. If it's possible for his life to be prolonged I would like him to seek it out for Kolyat.

unloyal - He should die, probably saving Kolyat.

If there is no chance to save him .... : (

I like this idea. Hopefully, ME3 will have a few options for Thane.

Thane must die.

This. But it must be done in the most coolest way possible. Like taking an arrow to the nipple.

LOL
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Or an arrow to the knee? Image IPB Sorry, I am having Skyrim withdrawal syndrome Image IPB.

Haha! I had that syndrome last night, I cured it by playing Skyrim!
I think Thane needs to play Skyrim, that might help cure him:innocent:

I used to play Skyrim, then I took an overused meme to a certain part of my anatomy.

Thane: Shepard, I learned a new Thu'um!
Thane: FUS RO DAAAAHHHGGHCHKKK-- *bits of lung impact the intended target*
*Thane dies*

Well I can't say Shepard would cry cause she has no emotion..
But I see your point..no Skyrim for Thane.

Nope, no Shouts for Thane. And arrows would just anger him.

Bloody funny though. LOL :P

However it will end I hope he is ended with the dignity the character deserves.
I they place him within a stasis field to keep him alive until he can be cured, I am fine that, unless they wake him up again and send him of to a space-station where he is killed by four Cerberus soldiers.
Thats not ok.

If it was, it would be a spoiler. (You might want to edit your post).
Suddenly I don't feel like talking about this any more. I wonder why that is. (no it has nothing to do with you Mclouvins )

The player must be able to influence the final game. (This is same game in the end, not a book or movie.) Especially when it's game, even with the element, but an RPG. Therefore, to give a choice to find a cure or not, is quite logical.                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Thane's death means the thousands of disappointed fans. (It's so obvious,no?) So I think it would be possible to save Thane. ;)

He hijacks a Kodiak shuttle and drives up a Reaper's laser cannon while its charging up.

HELLO BOYS. I'M BAAAAACK.

Except the Reaper just shrugs off the explosion and carries on.

An honorable death, maybe holding the line deathly sick against overwhelming odds. we don't see the end, come to find looking like his sleeping, in sitting position back resting again a wall, rock or something. his rifle resting on his shoulder with just faint looking smile on his face.

I'm not sure if I want Thane to live or to die.

By that, I mean I'm not sure if I want him to live or if I want him to live through to the end and die a peaceful death after all this has happened. I know I'd like peace between him and Kolyat, if at all possible.

Off topic, but to the OP, Isn't Mordin only 35? Or in his mid-30's?

I love Thane for his dignity - whatever happens it needs to remain intact. So I'm a fan of heroic death, though I won't say no to a lung transplant that would give Shep and he a few years together.

Because of the timing I would like to see Thane still with Shep (who romanced him) for the first few missions until he succumbs to his illness, and has to take it easy. Then we get a section of nail-biting and worry until we can resolve things one way or the other. Maybe storming a Reaper to obtain it's technology, though that could have a pretty permanent end to it!

I also really want to see Kolyat return; because I find Thane's father status to be more important that his dying one. ( Thane =/= Keprals). There's a lot more story to be had there, I think.

On the Bioware website when it had the Mass Effect 2 theme, it had each of the characters and their respective ages. Mordin was listed as 50. Which means he is doing very well for a Salarian. If only he was around 30. I love Mordin, I don't want him to die Image IPB.

However, it does mean that he will be willing to do Shepard one less favour before his old age won't hold him anymore. He was responsible for designing the genophage: a virus intent on reducing the breeding capabilities of an entire race to practically nothing. I'm sure that he can sort something out for Thane Image IPB.
