Should Bioware make new characters just to have a gay romance? -NO SPOILERS-

I think that s/s romances suck up too much resources and are not feasible to create. Think about it. Only about 10% of people are gay. why spend the same amount of effort appealing to this fanbase, when 90% of the fanbase don't care. and of that 90% probably 20% don't even want it. I think Bioware can allocate its resources better.

And no. He isn't saying girls are lesbians. He's saying there are straight females who enjoy m/m romances like there are straight men who enjoy f/f romances. And there are gay men who enjoy f/f romances AND m/f romances. And there are gay women who also enjoy m/m and m/f romances....and...get my point?

Master burger salesman and statician and court jester?
You are a jack of all trades.
So, what sampling data do you have about everyone's game saves? What was your margin of error? Who was your sampling pool?

If I were a homosexual, I'd find this insulting. If they can not give you a solid 3 dimensional romance why do you even want it? This seems more like an easter egg than "equal" oppurtunity romance.

You've answered your own question. No, they should not. It's insulting to do so. Which is some of the problem now. Both people have okay arguments for if there should be gay/bi characters up for romance. That doesn't necessarily mean that there shouldn't have or shouldn't be gay romances.
I think that S/S romances do not suck up too many resources in that they waste just as much time as a straight one. There might even be less of an issue all things considered, because if they were strictly gay/lesbian, the animator might be working with models that are closer in size. So it might even be easier to animate than a straight romance. Bisexual romances might be the only ones that would require considerbly more effort.
Even if 10% of the world is gay, that doesn't mean that straight people will not do homosexual romances. I for one don't care what race or gender it is for my avatar. I prefer women, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't have my character I'm role playing as not prefer men. 2nd, the fanbase numbers don't really matter. There are more people that play as soldiers than other classes, that doesn't mean that the other classes should be done away with. Especially considering that most people probably only play as a soldier and only play once.

S/S romances are not just for gays, but bisexual people and straights who just like to roleplay gay/bisexual characters for a change.Donnstar wrote...

And that S/S romances suck up too much resources is like saying hetero romances suck up too much resources. If you agree with that statement, BioWare games are obviously not for you.

I don't have any offical statistics. I just base my opinions off of the general consensus. Like sexual orientation. I might not have OFFICAL stats but just living my life, I can see that not everyone is gay, not the majority even, but a slim minority.
Just like I can make a logical conclusion there.
I can make a logical conclusion here. Compare s/s threads, posts, girls. It doesn't take a genius to conclude they are a minority.
