Yes.  Clearly the reason people didn't like the game wasn't the heavily recycled assets or middling gameplay choices.  It was the optional romances.  Obviously.

I don't have any offical statistics. I just base my opinions off of the general consensus. Like sexual orientation. I might not have OFFICAL stats but just living my life, I can see that not everyone is gay, not the majority even, but a slim minority.

Just like I can make a logical conclusion there.

I can make a logical conclusion here. Compare s/s threads, posts, girls. It doesn't take a genius to conclude they are a minority.

So you have . . . nothing?  You are making a best guess, not even an educated one, which would require you to cite a poll, and its methodology and run on the assumption that all gay people report they are gay.

I can make a logical conclusion that you don't know what you're talking about, but you can't really make a logical assumption on what gay population numbers are, or what demographics might want a s/s romance in their game.

Yet you declare these things as fact.

Bravo, on a weakly supported troll argument that has no legs.

Have fun trolling then, at least your last one was entertaining.  You aren't even that this time.

Excuse me. Are you not reading my posts. I was nice enough not to just reverse your incredibly silly argument.

"what DO U HAS" could've easily stalemated this argument.

Now, this argument is about MY opinion then I don't need a team of scientists and mathmaticians to make conclusions. What I have is far from nothing. I didn't flip a coin. I took all the data avaliable and made my own conclusion. If this is not good enough for you, then leave.

Secondly. I still do not understand how looking at the forums, seeing the group numbers isn't a GOOD representation of the demographic.

Sorry, we aren't going to get "offical" numbers ever. Deal with it.

Hehehe. I'll say it again...you sir are going to love college.

There are people who don't even like the romances, people that don't like certain characters, missions that almost nobody does, what is the problem of Bioware trying to please their fans? 10% may seem like few people in comparison, but I bet it makes a big difference in the money they make, lots of people want s/s romances, like a lot of people wanted Tali and Garrus to return as squadmates, and a lot of people wanted new romances, they're just trying to make as people happy as they can, and sell as much copies as they can, I don't see any problem in that, why do you?

riiiightt. Trying to please people this way is a waste of time and resources.

S/S romances, contrary to your omniscient opinion, did not wreck DA2. It was the general game design and story flaws that made it weak. Truthfully, the characters and their romances were some of the best written in that game.

Dragon Age was not a fiasco because all romance characters were bi, it was because of the constant scenario recycling, flying enemies and lack of side story, really, if people hated DA2 because Fenris and Anders hit on them, they should grow up. I don't know why people get so pissed because of OPTIONS.

Everything people hated about Dragon Age 2 were direct results of Bioware trying to give "fans" what they wanted.

"faster combat"
"s/s up characters!"

and all that nonsense.

Though I'm not sure why they recycled the same scenarios. probably time constraints. Forcing out a sequel before its ready. EA is to blame for that.

Obviously, you ignore what is REALLY wrong with DA2. Bisexual LIs have nothing to do with the game's lack of success.

Well duh.

The plot also had nothing at all to do with it. Clearly.

DA2 was the best game ever and if only all the romances weren't Bi would've sold as well as DAO. ;)

I have.  You're the one hung up on gay romances, not me.  Your false indignation was almost amusing.  If you really cared what anyone thought you wouldn't post these threads.  You do this for reaction.

Usually your arguments are slightly better constructed, but this one is simply below even your astonishingly low bar.  I called you on that, my job is done.  I proved my point, you squirm pointlessly in denial because the person making the claim has to provide the proof.

Which you have not, and cannot.  Point, set, match.

If Bioware took another six months or so to finish DA2, everybody would love it and not care about the romances, the character development, romance and characters in general were pretty good already, they just needed to double the game content.

They needed more than six months to fix that mess.  My point though was, you said something about whats wrong with trying to appeal to the most amount of people. Dragon Age 2 is what's wrong. In every way.

Actually, because you're fighting a battle (which you're losing btw) about games, in which you're using real world "examples", you kind of have to cite yourself and let everyone know where your getting your information from.

And even with this, a little research goes a long way.
