He even has slightly different dialog for males vs females lol: "I've never considered doing something like this before" ROFL! and he will behave towards a male romance a bit differently vs a female as well.

The ability to romance Alistair as a male IS in the game, but for SOME reason, they took the FLAG out preventing it. It's QUITE easy to turn this flag on, allowing any gender to romance him.

Although as a HUMAN noble and a male... it's funny in the end you will become his "queen" AHAHAHA

If anyone is interested on how to do a M/M romance with Alistair, let me know and I will tell you how

How do you turn the flag on to enable this?

Then, and only do this AFTER you pass Lothering and have enough people in the party:



activate the console and input



runscript zz_den_debug



the best place to do this is IN CAMP.... chose party options then romance and set the romance flag ACTIVE from whomever you wish (Wynn, Sten, Shale, and the dwarf are NOT available)



This will even let you RE ROMANCE someone whom you have broken it off with



BE CAREFUL WITH THIS and SAVE YOUR GAME. This script has other features you really don't want to mess with.



So in the end I find the game is FULLY capable of having ALL characters "going both ways" which IMO they should have allowed from the start.. Now any RPGers, str8, gay, lesbian, bi, etc can romance their fav character and FULLY enjoy the game

BTW this scrip also lets you switch between innocent and hardend Alistair... so if you are of NON human origin and Alistair DUMPS you at the end, you can reload right before he dumps you.. harden him.. and he will stay with you.. w/o another replay

Aye correct from the guy above. you can ONLY do this if you are playing hte PC version. If you are on a Ps3 or Xbox, you can not do any of this.

Nice work, though having some characters only available to one gender isn't unrealistic. If they decide that Alistair is straight, well, that's just part of his character. But obviously it was up in the air since this stuff is present in the game.

I'm curious- how does the dialog differ with Morrigan?

I see no reason for it to. A character is a character.

I MIGHT make the ending "weird" but I can ONLY see that if it's a M/M Alistair

Or unless you have Morrigan's baby LOL!

I've tested the endgame with both M/M Alistair and you become his queen and F/F Morrigan

good find.  But I don't think you actually understand "rpg."  Allistair is straight.  He is a character in a world that you are playing a role in.  If he doesn't have any interest in having sex with other men then he doesn't have any interest in having sex with other men.  Likewise for Morrigan.

Bioware doesn't write "sandbox" RPGs, where it's you and a world to exploit.  It's your character, in a world full of other characters.  Allistair is supposed to feel like a real person.  So is Morrigan.  So is Lelianna.  So is Zevran.  It makes perfect sense that Lelianna would go either way with her background.  She's probably had to seduce as many women as men before she stole their secrets.  It makes perfect sense Zevran would go either way.  He's probably had to seduce as many men as women before he slit their throats.  It makes perfect sense that Morrigan is straight.  Flemeth is straight and anything Flemeth says is the word of God.  She's interested in power and men generally garner that.  It makes perfect sense that Allistair is straight.  He was a Templar.  Religious zealots and all that...

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I find the concept of straight sex to be completely disgusting, and I find it sad that they put something that incredibly UNNATURAL in a game, too.

Actually I VERY MUCH understand RPG, and the game IS coded for Alistair to date men in the game, but for some reason BW took it out at the last minute.

As far as understanding RPG.. go take an old D&D game... a GM makes his or her own rules and world. That's what BW has giving us... a game where we can be the GM and take control, chose our fates and alter the game's "reality" if we chose.
 
all the dialogue and other things and present in the game for a M/M relationship with alistair.. even Morrigan talks has sex and behaves differently with a woman. So the coding and scripting is in the game also. It was probably put it so people could write modules to suit player's needs.

And Alistair straight? Just listen to the man talk about his clothes, pillow fights... how more sterotypical gay can you get? ALL BW had to do in a M/M relationship is DUMP the male if he became king or keep him on a a lover. He never completed being a templar and is HARDLY a zealot LOL.

But this is an OPEN ended RPG, one that was MADE to be user configurable and modded... otherwise there wouldn't BE a tool set and a modding community that BW itself has set up for the game.

This game is designed for the players to make it what THEY chose and if we chose to tell or experience a different story than what BW came up... then that's our own business.

Otherwise, in most other games, I would agree with you

Nice to know there's homophobic snobs like you out there. See the reason WHY people want a M/M with Alistar is he's funny, kind, generous. Zevron is a murder their scoundrel... not someone most people would fall for.

The solution for you is simple: Keep your characters as they are and keep your Alistar a nice happy straight man.

I on the other hand, as a male in game, have bedded him countless times, and married him and now rule by his side as a human male noble. So now the kingdom has a gay couple ruling it Muahahahah

Exactly this is a spoiler thread on how to romance characters that were thought not possible.. NOT a morality discussion... if people have any sort of morale objections, they shouldn't even BE playing a mature game with sexual situations, gay/lesbian/bi content, GRAPHIC violence and gore
