So does that mean my elf mage girl can have her Alistair??? WooohooTallBearNC wrote...
BTW this scrip also lets you switch between innocent and hardend Alistair... so if you are of NON human origin and Alistair DUMPS you at the end, you can reload right before he dumps you.. harden him.. and he will stay with you.. w/o another replay

So in the end I find the game is FULLY capable of having ALL characters "going both ways" which IMO they should have allowed from the start.. Now any RPGers, str8, gay, lesbian, bi, etc can romance their fav character and FULLY enjoy the game
I disagree. It is not a flaw in game design that all characters aren't bisexual.
Some people are straight. Some are gay. Some are bi. Alistair and Morrigan are straight. The presence of the flag says nothing of Bioware's intentions. The very most that you could assume is that Bioware considered bisexual options for these characters but REJECTED those ideas as inappropriate for each character.
It's not persecution/discrimination/anything-of-the-sort just because you can't get your way (i.e. - seduce every man you come across if you're a homosexual male). I'm a straight male and I wouldn't be offended at all by the presence of a lesbian character that I couldn't seduce/romance.
All that being said, I DO think it's cool that you've shared this tip for those want it. Rock on.

That's your opinion and your entitled to it, but while you may find it "gross", others will really enjoy this.
Let's keep the gay-bashing to a minimum please. If you don't like this, don't click on the topic and read it. Simple as that.
Exactly this is a spoiler thread on how to romance characters that were thought not possible.. NOT a morality discussion... if people have any sort of morale objections, they shouldn't even BE playing a mature game with sexual situations, gay/lesbian/bi content, GRAPHIC violence and gore
Exactly, now will someone create a beastiality mod so I can have sex with dog? I would also like a child molestation mod so I can go priestly on Connor. THANKS!!!

YES YES AND YES!
But know this. Alistair will NEVER marry anyone BUT a human male or female NOBLE. For anyone else he will take a wife, and keep you as his lover, but as an elf female, if you harden him and keep him a a lover VERY VERY VERY nice things happen for the elves!
So if you want to be QUEEN (be it male or female LOL!) you MUST be a human noble.

I agree it's not a flaw and it IS more like RL. Im gay in RL.. and if I were gay in some fantasy world I would only have women as friends. So I understand BW's decision. I just wish they would have given ALL of us more options.
Now they sort of did just that. They made scripting, animation, and voiceovers etc for ALL party members to be bisexual (probably for the modding community), BUT for the STOCK storyline... Alistair is straight as well as Morrigain... and in a RL situation, there's nothing that could be done.. except maybe a 6 pack (runs and ducks for cover LOL).
But this isn't RL it's a fantasy game. So as a gamer, on a game thats made to be moddable. I CHOSE to alter the story line and make everyone swing both ways. I may be gay, but I LOVE the F/F sex scenes. They are the most tender and gentle of them all - ESPECIALLY the one with Leliana!
So don't think I'm bashing BW. I now understand why they did what they did.
Plus for those who wish to have MEGA sex.. there is the PEARL in Denerim where you can bed tons of men and women regardless of geneder.. and if you bed someof the males.... well.. their normal "pouch" in their underware seems to have a pretty solid "stick" in their underware ROFL!

LOL animals and children are illegal. So I won't partake in the modding of the game in that way at all (although I'm sure someone could do it).
For those who care, search the site for gay bar. There someone working on adding a GLBT bar as an add on adventure to the game. It's in alpha testing now. You can DL it, but it's empty. I may contact the owner of the project and offer my help
but first im working on a program to repair save game files with corrupt DLC flags

There is a much more simple way to do this, no console involved. Download this addin, called genderring. It changes the sex of your character so you can bypass the 'gender checks' for Morrigan and Allister (or whomever else). HF!
I tried that and iddn't like it. Turning a woman male keeps the same female face and she puts on a male body suit.. it looks REALLY weird.... Can you say "The Crying Game" ROFL!
Turning a male female... keept the male face but with breat and that looks WEIRD.. VERY VERY WEIRD

Actually I VERY MUCH understand RPG, and the game IS coded for Alistair to date men in the game, but for some reason BW took it out at the last minute.
I'm sorry, but you are wrong. Alistair was never intended to be romanceable for males, neither was Morrigan for females. There is absolutely no dialog written for this, and if you make Alistair/Morrigan ignore gender checks, they will still talk to you as though you are of the opposite sex. It was not "taken out". The reason there is a flag that checks for same sex romances is because all the flags that could conceivably be needed were put into the template romance plots, and then duplicated for all the romances.
If you want to make them bisexual, go to it, just don't assume that just because the flag was there and never used, that it's because the same sex romances were taken out at the last minute on a whim.

Does this work for all races? I mean, dwarves are a bit smaller than elves or humans and, so will you get a different sex scene with him, or is it just the 'human + human' one for every race?
It seems like a nice option, but I think that it will turn out somewhat hilarious, if Alistair is referring to your character as a woman in all the romance dialogue. Do I understand this correct, that the dialogue isn't altered by using this method to treat the playercharacter as if he was a male, is it?

Hate to break it to you, but Zevron is nothing but a walking stereotype, there is nothing real about him, and playing through several games with male characters alistair has only not made what I would call a "pass" on one of them, and thats without touching the console.
Kid yourself into thinking hes just a "bro-mantic" but in the real world you don't find guys talking to you with some of his dialogue options unless they are flirting with you.

'Then, and only do this AFTER you pass Lothering and have enough people in the party:'
Does that mean you should do this only after you have been to Lothering for the first time or finished Lothering, because it will become inaccessible afterwards? And what's the 'have enough people in the party' thing?
