People always fear and hate what they don't understand. Thats why fairytales and conjobs like religion still perpetuate to this day.

You do know that "Muslim" is an Arabic term for "one who submits to God".while some are terrorist no doubt about that, not all of them are, saying that would be like saying that every american acts like Homer Simpson and loves war and that all blonds are dumb.

Because she is very hostile towards Liara, which I find pretty annoying and not likeable.

She's hostile towards Liara because
1) Liara is the daughter of Benezia, who is working with Saren, and Ashley has no reason to believe or trust Liara isn't working for Saren.
2) The first thing Liara wants to do is invade the brain of Shepard, Ashley's commanding officer, to tease out secrets and stuff, where she will have access to things like classified Alliance intelligence and information. Yea, being hostile to someone who wants to do that, given (1), is a completely reasonable response.
3) If you are a male Shepard, Liara appears to come onto Shepard pretty hard. Ashley, who probably has a budding crush on Shepard at the time, will act in a manner appropriate any person in a similar situation.

So apparently acting like a rational human being makes you annoying and unlikeable.

So... poetry?

Seriously though I reported this thread for going off topic back when people were just talking about Horizon, now the conversation is about ISRAEL!
That's a pretty spectacular leap away from the topic source, don't you think?

EDIT: Well, hell since the topic's going to keep fluctuating:
Did you know that the Megalosaurus has the distinction of being the first dinosaur species ever to be scientifically named and classified? And that it was also the first dinosaur ever to be mentioned in popular culture?

Yes, I don't doubt that some are peaceful but some people seem to think that muslim extremists don't exist. Why do I keep dragging myself back into this topic? ''Check please!''

1. I'll give you
2. I'll also give you
3. Makes no sense with a femShep or a ManShep who told her to keep it professional and berated her every chance he got. (like one of mine did).

X (replace with anything you can think of and it'll probably be true) extremist exist as well. That doesn't make all terrorists.

Btw I have absolutely nothing against the military. I support them to the fullest.

You shouldn't.

Why on earth shouldn't I support them? They fight and die for my freedom.

Steadily dwindling freedom.

Freedom that didn't get destroyed by those islamist guys but our own goverments.

I don't fear fascism in disguise as fascism. I fear fascism in disguise as democracy.
Think it was either Erich Kästner or Berthold Brecht who said that ...

Not our governments, but the banks and the rich, ruling elite puppet masters.

Are you really that naive?

Are you that much of a conspiracy whackjob? You're lucky that we decided to put ourselves at risk to protect our families and country.

You may believe in this (it's good), but your superiors don't.

Trained to judge a situation, and react appropriately. All soldiers feel remorse. What do you think PTSD is? The ones that soldiers pity are the innocents that the bad guys (in this case the Taliban, who murder civillians) kill.

People with cameras, rocks and those who are shouting are taliban too?

Trained to folllow orders instantaneously, so that failing to do so doesn't get someone else killed. There is a time and place for everything, and questioning orders in the middle of a firefight isn't a good idea

You can say it in any form you want, you still follow orders blindly.

Don't make me laugh.

Ha! I'm a conspiracy whackjob? (whatever that means) after you talk about the banks and the rich?... you know, the federal reserve is a conspiracy theory too. Everything that defies power is a conspiracy it seems.

Yea, those doctors, JAG officers, mechanics, quartermasters, engineers, intelligence analysts, and every other military non-combat duty, aka something like at least 50% of military posts are trained to kill and are paid for it.

Trained not to feel remorse or pity. Oh wait so why do so many of them suffer from PTSD, depression, and various other mental disorders and instabilities after they kill another human being? Why did the Roman legions, one of the most disciplined, robotic fighting machines in the history of the world, practice religious cleansing rituals after every battle to absolve their soldiers of the fact that they just killed thousands of people? No army in existence has ever trained its soldiers not to feel remorse or pity.

Trained to follow orders blindly. Just lol. you are delusional

@mauro2222 My superiors are career soldiers who swore themselves to the service of Australia, just like I will when my selection process is complete. They are the men and women who intervened in East Timor to prevent a Civil War, and have made remarkable progress against extremist control in places that most of us have difficulty pronouncing.

Those with cameras shouldn't bloody well intrude into a war zone, where soldiers constantly have to watch their backs. Their deaths are tragic, but soldiers aren't at fault. A good story is not worth a life, but some people don't realise that. Just curious, but have you ever been hit in the head with a rock? I had a buddy that came home with a cracked skull because some idiot tossed a bloody boulder at him.

Disobey an order on the frontline and people die. It's why the officers and NCOs are trained to give the right orders. Combat isn't a democracy. If an order is given that is morally wrong, such as the execution of civillians, then each and every soldier has the right to refuse that order, and is legally protected, under the Manual of Ground Warfare. But disobeying an order just because you feel like it, or because you think it's crushing your independence, is just stupid.
