about that poetry....

Poetry is nothing more than an intensification or illumination of common
objects and every day events until they shine with their singular
nature, until we can experience their power, until we can follow their
steps in the dance, until we can discern what part they play in the
Great Order of Love. How is this done? By f*cking around with syntax.

Tom Robbins, Even Cowgirls get the Blues

That is all. :P

 poetry
 Ashley
( cowgirls)

OH MY GOD!

She recites that poem before Illos. And a couple of week after that poem.

SHEPARD DIES!

Poetic forshadowing?

IT COULD BE FORESHADOWING FOR THE WHOLE GAWDAMNED SERIES.

DOESN'T END LIKE A WAR MOVIE?! IT ENDS LIKE A WHITMAN POEM.

Because she is very hostile towards Liara, which I find pretty annoying and not likeable.

She's hostile towards Liara because
1) Liara is the daughter of Benezia, who is working with Saren, and Ashley has no reason to believe or trust Liara isn't working for Saren.
2) The first thing Liara wants to do is invade the brain of Shepard, Ashley's commanding officer, to tease out secrets and stuff, where she will have access to things like classified Alliance intelligence and information. Yea, being hostile to someone who wants to do that, given (1), is a completely reasonable response.
3) If you are a male Shepard, Liara appears to come onto Shepard pretty hard. Ashley, who probably has a budding crush on Shepard at the time, will act in a manner appropriate any person in a similar situation.

So apparently acting like a rational human being makes you annoying and unlikeable.

1) Alright, you don't trust her, fine. Still, no need to be bitc.hing around.
2) Lol, what? Also, no, the first thing Liara wants to do is talk about the prothean extinction and she access to Shepard's mind to help him with the visions.
3) I don't think bitc.hing around because someone likes the same person than me is appropiate.

Now, back to poetry. I don't hate her reciting poetry, is more like something you wouldn't expect from the character, but hey, is cool to have someone like that in the crew.

I like this Krogan. He understands human nature. ;)

Especially the third part seems to have some influence: jealousy makes people say ugly things, especially if they fear they could lose in that "competition". It's not nice but understandable.

So she has a level of maturity similar to that of a high school girl.

Gotcha.

Or you simply have no experience with women.

I know several women acting like this and they're in my age. That means between 25 and 35 for starters B)

I like Ash except for a couple of really ****-ish comments she makes, top of the list is that aliens-and-animals one.

Seems like the only thing you hate and fear is religion.Image IPB

And your senses fail you.

If there weren't religion I'd be out of a job. Healthcare is never at a loss of idiots who finally decided to stop drinking the faith healing kool aid.

Grind that bible with your asscheeks boy. Grind it hard and well.

It's generally the overstuffed burgers and fried chicken that clogs up the ER. Oh, and also the stray shots from your neighbor's M4. Not the kool-aid.

Edit: Sunuva-Bioware took over this thread?!

Yeah, but the "aliens-animals" comment was bugged and the BW staff confirmed that. However, they either had no time, no money or simply were too lazy to fix it. Fits into same category like Garrus' face bug.
Said comment was intended to be used when talking about a keeper.

Think the dog-and-bear analogy doesn't help Ashley's character, that's a point I accept - I don't like it either. However, everyone tends to talk rubbish from time to time. I wouldn't reduce someone's character to some crappy lines. ^_^

Never been particularly interested in faith healing. But from your comment, I can easily deduced that you've got a whole lot of rage at religious folk.

It's strange, I've never insulted or come down on anyone for their beliefs, or lack of. But the opposite is sadly not true. Even on here, I'm amazed to find people who have nothing better to do then call me a superstitious fool. There goes the karma theory, huh.

Again with the derailing stick to Ashley's poetry please.

Again she says the same thing to Liara if Shepard is female. Whats your excuse then. Ashley is a closet lesbian and is also jealous of Liara.

They can be as old as they want and still have the same mental age as a child.

Think of all the grown people on PSN/XBL/Steam calling you a "****" with no basis.

I've heard she may be looking for a little girl-on-girl action in ME3.

Yes.

Ashley will use her newfound Fashion powers and give all of the women makeovers!
