I find it terribly unfortunate that any woman, fictional or not who displays any type of strength is inevitably labed a "butch" or "not feminine" as my ex-GF is very strong and smart AND sexy/feminine...god we men have it easy
Also I agree that the poetic side to Ash is very cool.
Also this.
Of all the reason to hate on Ashley, WHY her poetry?

I also agree. There is nothing wrong with a strong woman.

2. The VS has the nads to say that it could have been Cerberus working with the Collectors (Because a pro-human group would TOTALLY want to kidnap entire colony's worth of humans!). Cerberus must also be in cahoots with the Reapers since they apparantly had access to husks and praetorians as well, going by the VS' logic. It makes sense if you don't think about it.
But it couldn't possibly be a character flaw. It's just BAD WRITING.
Considering that Cerberus is working for the Reapers in ME3 now I'd say it isn't a out there opinion.

Except in the 2nd game they were actively ASSISTING the colonies (Despite failing).
Ashley SEES this as well.

Tim and harbinger plans in during ME2:
Harbinger: We need you to steal Shepard's body from us. Resurrect him. and give him the best crew and specialist that the galaxy has to offer. Then send him through the Omega 4 Relay so he can destroy the human reaper that the collecors are making for us.
TIM: And how does this help us?
Harbinger: How the hell you want us to know? We are not a writer.

Why is she being judged by her dads taste in poetry by anyone. She recites it because the issue of her fathers actions have defined not just her youth but also her career.Stardusk78 wrote...
I don't like her much, I am the first to admit it but mostly because she is very unfeminine, brutish and butch to me but why do so many people hate the poetic aspect of her, which is one of her few redeeming qualities in my eyes?

Im talking about the character itself. Miranda has no real personality. She is only there for sex appeal. The camera shots, for example, when you talk to her on the Normandy are insanely shameless. I also find it funny that you say she/he isnt blinded by ideals... even though thats not the case at all when it comes to cerberus.Dariustwinblade wrote...
Nope, Miri is smart, competent and not blinded by ideals.

The ass shots on the Normandy are a joke.
Also, she isn't blindly devoted to Cerberus at all. She believes what they stand for very strongly, but she isn't a cultist. In fact, she loses faith in Cerberus as the game goes on, and eventually resigns.

Still helps my point. Anyway, did I say she was a cultist? No. I said she is blinded by ideals from cerberus. Also, the fact that she stops trusting cerberus at the end for no reason is more evidence that she has no real character.AgitatedLemon wrote...

By "She's not a cultist", I'm exagerrating her devotion towards Cerberus. L2humor.
I guess her changing her ideals based on evidence provided that MAYBE Cerberus isn't the honorable group she thought they were makes her have no real character.
Have you actually interacted with Miranda outside of doing her loyalty mission? Did you even do that?
If you can provide solid, factual evidence that She has no chracter depth, then I'll change my tune.

Rofl. I have had this argument too many times to care anymore. No matter what I say, you MJmancers will always deny it. So whats the point^ No matter how concrete the evidence is, you will always find a ridiculous, nonsensible way to justify it. So no, Im not having this conversation again. Its been a long time since ME2 was released, and if you havent got it yet, you never will.AgitatedLemon wrote...

And for the record, Tali has absolutely no character in both ME1 and 2. She was nothing more than a walking codex in ME1, and she was nothing more than a pure, blatant fanservicey wa*krag fantasy for all the obese, acne riddled tween crowd which are the 99% of her fans. Thus, they've occupied BSN and drove out the 1% I really respect.
