My memory is hazy there. Haven't they got something to do with the Quarian flotilla and an Alliance Biotic Acadamy?

And injecting Paul Grayson with Reaper nanites for no good reason beyond revenge, which not only gave the Reapers even more intelligence on different facilities in the galaxy, it also gave them an avatar to slaughter many people with.

Ascension: Continuation of the Subject Zero project with less brutal methods, forced to blow up a Quarian vessel after the Quarians tried to stop Cerberus from reclaiming their subject.
Retribution: Studying the effects of Reaper implants on the human body and the effects of indoctrination, subject escapes after turians wipe out the complex.

They took an autistic child away from a stepfather who was working for Cerberus, who were drugging given child. If I recall correctly.

Revenge was certainly the reason why TIM chose him but it also served to gain intel on the enemy of all life in the galaxy, the Reapers.

Anderson, Kahlee and the turian's fault. Cerberus would have killed Grayson before he became too dangerous.

Because her "father" was working with Cerberus and with another agent on the station (that guy was so subtle, by the way) to inject her with experimental drugs that could have been the source of her social isolation.
Just because he was her parent doesn't mean that he knows what's good for her.

Was that why they gave him red sand to deliberately make his biotic powers even stronger, while having almost no control of the growth of the Reaper nanites' control?
Smooth.

They gave him red sand so he'd stop resisting the indoctrination effects and they'd get faster results, it had nothing to do with increasing biotic potential (which was developed by the mutations).

Grayson was legally her father. Why is kidnapping only bad when Cerberus does it?Someone With Mass wrote...

The drugs only had an adverse effect once, claiming anything else is speculation. Besides, you people tend to only see the bad side of things, the drugs could have been the reason Gillian's biotics were so incredibly strong. In the future, think of what she could achieve for the human race.
And just because he works for Cerberus doesn't mean he wants what's bad for her. We have insight into Grayson's mind, we know that he loved Gillian like his own daugther.Just because he was her parent doesn't mean that he knows what's good for her.
Kahlee and Hendel grabbed an autistic child and threw her into a completely alien environment. It could have backfired horribly.

You know, I think that future lies more in the development of stopping biotics, not producing more of them. The Phantom is a good example of this. She has a little palm device that allows her to absorb biotic attacks. Not to mention the tech attacks that disables the amplifiers, making the biotics so weak that they can't even flip over a paper cup.
Trying to put out a fire by creating another fire in the hopes that their fire will suck up all the oxygen is not exactly a good idea.

He was also questioning his motives and had doubts about what he was doing all the time.
While it's true that Kahlee and Hendel could have made it worse, they saw Grayson unfit of handling a child with special abilities like Gillian and they didn't want Cerberus to get their hands on her again, because they could make her situation even worse to the point of no recovery.
Denying extremists like Cerberus potential weapons is also kind of a good thing.

Last time I checked, they weren't forced to blow up that vessel at all. It was a random act of violence.
They had all retreated when the bomb was triggered and they were on the offensive against the quarians before that.
Had Cerberus actually had some sort of backup plan, like not letting only the obvious rookie keep check on the subject and her father, they could have avoided that mess completely.
Contingency plans. They need them. And not just for something like Gillian.

- Retribution: After hearing that bad men wanted to come and do bad things, The Illusive Man decided to call up his friend and gave him free upgrades to the Reaper fitness gym. Upon critical mission failure, the turians want to give him a hug but fail as he escapes.

That's the kind of thinking that holds civillizations back. Biotics are a tool that can be used, just like the mass relays. We do need to learn how to stop enemy biotics and that was why Project Trapdoor existed but we also need to create our own human biotics.Someone With Mass wrote...

And so he should, I question the sanity of anyone who completely trusts The Illusive Man.He was also questioning his motives and had doubts about what he was doing all the time.

They were unfit of telling wether or not Grayson or Cerberus were unfit of handling Gillian. There is still no proof that anything Cerberus did to Gillian had any relevance on her autism.
This could turn into a Collector Base debate so quickly.Denying extremists like Cerberus potential weapons is also kind of a good thing.
