Does anyone else find it weird and appalling that after two separate runs with Krogan on the Normandy you will no longer have a Krogan crew member? And the Krogan, we know, are SUPER important for ME3, so why is it that we get no Krogan? Am I the only one who thinks this?

Really, we should have more Salarian squadmates than Krogan.

Didn't we have Ashley confirmed a long time ago?

Wrex plays a huge role in more than one mission, and Grunt's appearance is epic.

Krogans everywhere, just not on the Normandy.

Not really. It's like "you HAVE to have a wookie in every Star Wars game". No you don't. It could quickly become a cliche.

This. Grunt and Wrex are actually doing better when they're not on Shepard's leash.

So they are not playable squadmates at all?

Nope.

They have some pretty good moments, though.

We may be missing a lizard on board, but we'll likely have some crazy-psycho who would pass for a krogan if you close your eyes. Don't worry, as long as we have one person who seems like they'd try to challenge Shep as some point, the dymanics will be the same. As the people in Wrex's Tea Party group might say, not every krogan is really able to say, "I-AM-KROGAN, or close enough."

Nope. That they aren't pigeonholing an alien into the squad "just because" (just because... you had one in 1 and 2) is not weird and not appalling in the least.

And, super importance does not entail being in Shepard's squad. If anything, people who are on it are there because they don't have much importance off of it.

I've killed Wrex, and even left him on the Citadel in ME 1. I have left Grunt under glass for the entire game in ME 2. I don't really see a need for a Krogan personally. If I do take Wrex along (and he is alive post Virmire) and I happen to awaken Grunt, they usually just cool their heals on the Normandy anyway.

Well I really don't know about that special part in there, OP.

Anyways I know I'll have Wrex in Me3, I'd swap Grunt for Mordin and another Salarian.

Wrex has more important things to do... You know? Like rallying his krogan to fight the reapers? He cant do that while on the normandy.

Grunt is pretty much under wrex and has a darn good appearance

We need more salarians/drell on board. Mix it up a bit! Humans are so boring, and i should now, I am one. :)

There's a character we're getting that's going to fill the "team badass" role quite nicely, so I guess he's basically filling the krogan spot.

I think Grunt will return to our squad. We are his battle master after all tbh.

I still don't get this. I remember some months back someone was going around claiming that it's "tradition" to have a krogan on the squad in every game.

Tradition? Excuse me, what? It's only been two games. Don't start harpin' about "tradition" until there have been at least three installments, you know?

Indeed.  A sample size of two is hardly statistically significant.

Exactly my good man, exactly.
