I feel ridiculous posting this, but I need to before I come to my senses. ;)

Fairy Tale

A short module that is part parody and part pseudo-philosophy, making fun of the basic fantasy story structure and raising the occasional question about whether one should spend time reading stories (or playing games).

I threw this together over the past few hours based on some random ideas I thought of yesterday. So far I only have the absolute bare bones and one or two extra jokes, but I managed to slip some wierd philosophy into what started as a parody. (The quasi-philosophical question is, basically, "do you need stories?" With the qualifier that this module mostly is talking about video game stories.)

So if you want to see how I deliberately put my foot in my mouth, here's the downlowd link:

That would be a bug. Was there the message "you are too excited to talk right now" in your log?

Edit: Nevermind, the problem seems to be that the henchman isn't leaving combat properly, which means that their conversation gets cut off. I'll see what I can do about that.

Version 0.2 is up, it should fix the conversation that didn't fire properly. Let me know if anything else breaks.

Interesting idea in a "we're all trapped on the hamster wheel of adventure, forever doomed to reenact past events" kind of way.

Now, your mission should you choose to accept it, is to build another philosophical conundrum, but bigger and better.

If you had made that reference three days ago, it would have gone over my head. ;p

More seriously, it might be some time before I can come up with another idea like this and find a better means of presenting it. Between this module's huge reliance on inspiration rather than effort and a long-term NWN module I'm already working on, it'll be difficult to make something "bigger and better."

Not to say I won't make something like this again, but it'll be some time...

P.S: If any other bugs pop up, let me know so I can fix them. I have few enough released projects, I don't need them to be defective.

It's not necessarily a "philosophical conundrum," it's not bigger, it may or may not be better, but I did make another mini-module in the same vein as this one.
