^ It was Ian Newstead.

And like the Anderson / Udina question in ME2, there's ways to include Feros without needing to rely on save file info, IIRC.

I think people are overlooking the fact that most of the colony was made from a fairly pristine prothean city that wasn't destroyed by the reapers. That might mean that there is something there to fight against the reapers.

"[F]airly pristine"? That place was a complete mess.

Yeah, the colony got WRECKED.

Sure, it was supported better afterward(if you convinced Exogeni) but still.

Pristine? Really?

I wasn't even talking about that. The Prothean architecture wasn't in good shape to start with. I mean, it was in pretty good shape for its age, but that's entirely different than being in good shape in an absolute sense.

Not many of your choices have an impact on ME3, I don't remeber reading anything about Feros. It's pretty standalone. And like bioware said, a great place to start, unfortunately it doesn't seem like it will be a great place to finish. Anyway, I didn't really expect Feros to have an impact, especially not after I read it wasn't even mentioned in the Genesis comic.

That too. The architecture was in good shape compared to what it could've been, but by no means would I consider it pristine.

Those towers could tumble from a good ferosquake for all we know.

The devs did say that certain missions and decisions in ME1 that had no mention in ME2 will impact ME3 in some form.

I hope my Shep bumps into Shiala again. I would love to see her and the colonists get better

do u think its possible that they could have put some of the encounters from ME1 and ME2 into the ME3 for the ps3 players?

I just wonder if they is any connection of the Thorian to the Reapers. After all how else did Saren know where to find it?

I wonder how do you think it should count at all? Because unless Feros is somehow important for the war effort, why should it matter? You saved a colony, saved lifes ... what else do you expect. Just because decisions should matter it doesn't mean that every single one does have to have a big impact on galactic scale.

Feros had meaning....if you played it (sorry to all the ps3 folk who missed out). Thorian had to die, it wasn't going to negotiate nor was it interested in why we needed the cypher. As for the colonists, I would like to see shiala again, but more to the point Liana and mother fighting the good fight with exogeni. Boss man had to die in every playthrough (even if I could charm him).

You get to meet Shiala (sidequest) and you will probably meet her again in ME3. But it's not what's being carried over that was important with the Feros mission, it was what you did there. You got the cipher. So stop whining.

I hope Feros isn't mentioned in ME3. It would be beyond stupid to mention every small detail from the two last games in order to ... well, why even mention it?

Feros was important, but it didn't have any long lasting effects barring Shepard now understanding the mindset and language of the Prothean race.

Virmire had us losing a member of our team and the destruction of the genophage cure(sort of).

Noveria had the survival or death of the Rachni Queen which affects the rachni from here on out.

Ilos had the Conduit reveal and the conversation with Vigil, which was already brought up.

Feros had its part to play, but its over now. Asking for it to matter more is nice. Personally I'd like for it to be brought up a little more, along with Noveria, Virmire, and Ilos.

But its not going to have much of an impact anymore, same as going to Therum. We recruited Liara, but there's no need to bring up Therum anymore.

So there's the gist of it, really.

This. Alll it was was a plot device area soley for ME1's story, what with you learning the Cipher and all. What decisons you could make only affected a side quest in ME2.

What I meant by "pristine" was that reapers destroy EVERYTHING till almost nothing remains of the civilization. So by that standard, the city on Feros would be considered pristine as it actually looks like a city and not just a pile of rocks... like Therum and its elevators...

perhaps saving feros, and focusing shiala on keeping the colony going will lead to help in the war

Actually Feros still has a part to play with the Thorian.  Well, it should have at least.  Shiala was able to overcome indoctrination because of the Thorian.  The thorian control is similar to Reaper indoctrination, and it's reversable.  That should have been one of the first real leg-ups the galaxy gets in going against the Reapers.  Pull in Rana who was researching Sovereign's indoctrination and you have at least something to help you out.

If they had put that together with the derelict Reaper...*sigh*...maybe I would have had a point to keep the Collector base.
